Loved Cole from the minute he walked onto the page

Surrender My Love is a relatable story that really resonates with the reader. The author, as always, develops compelling characters and interesting storylines. I loved Cole from the minute he walked onto the page. He is extremely sexy - it just oozes out of the pages as you read about him. He's a strong, confident man who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to go after it. But, he's also sensitive to Leesa and her struggles. I struggled with Leesa a bit at the beginning. After understanding the challenges she faced, it felt as though she was blowing her reaction a bit out of proportion, despite the fact she'd been exonerated. Having never been in the situation she faced, I don't know how I would have reacted but I felt her reaction was assuming a level of guilt and hysteria that was a bit disproportional. As with all typical romance novels, Leesa and Cole find their happily ever after. But, the story wasn't all wrapped up in a nice little package with a bow on top, and I was happy to see that. In real life, everything doesn't always work out as you'd like. In this case, I felt the reactions of the parties involved were realistic and I really enjoyed how the author handled the interactions between the boy and his father. I'm loving the Braden's of Peaceful Harbor and the mentions to previous Bradens. Can't wait for the next story in the series. Disclosure: I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I fell irrevocably in love with Cole...

I fell irrevocably in love with Cole Braden just as quickly as he fell for Leesa. My hear melted at how compassionate he was toward her. Even when she repeated pushed him away, he remain persistent and sincere in his pursuit of her. When Leesa informed him of what she had faced before seeking shelter in Peaceful Harbor, his trust in her was unwavering. Leesa's painful experiences made her determined to stay a loner. The people she had trusted in the past turned their backs on her, she'd lost her home, career, her reputation. All the things she considered important disappeared rapidly and painfully. Peaceful Harbor proved to be her wake up call. There she found people willing to take a chance on a down on their luck woman. The Bradens showed her the beauty of family, love and trust. This open her heart and mind to all types of possibilities. I have read a number of Ms. Foster's novels and they all have stirred emotions but I have to say Surrender My Love is the one I like the best. Through this novel Melissa Foster conveys the harm in jumping to conclusions and the benefit of keeping an open mind. Those qualities are important ones to remember. I received an ARC of Surrender My Love in exchange for an honest review. Any reader who doesn't read it is missing out.

    Looking Forward to More!

I loved this cover and many of my friends are fans of this author so I decided to give it ago. This is the second book in this series but you can read it as a standalone because the author fills you in but I’d still like to go back and read the first one. Leesa was extremely likable and I connected with her. Cole was pretty perfect. Even his ‘baggage’ wasn’t that bad and they were pretty perfect together. Poor Leesa on the other hand had a lot to deal with. The author’s writing style is fantastic but parts were a little on the slow side for me but it got better. This was a sweet story about finding grounding after something devastating. It was a good read and I’m going to read the books I’ve already picked up from this author and the first in this series. Peaceful Harbor looks like it would be a nice place to visit.

    Crashing in to Love

You simply can't put this series of books down, from the first page to the last one.The characters are strong, honest, and family oriented, and that's just the men. The women will blow your mind with their determination, strength and never say die attitude. You can read these books on their own but I would highly recommend reading them in order so you can get a feel of the characters plus the introduction of other interesting characters

Wow! Cole! This is a definite must read!!

Omg! This is a definite must read! Omg! Cole Braden is everything you want in a man.. He's loyal, caring, he's puts Leesa first, he listens to everything she says and doesn't judge her... Cole shows her what it's like to have someone that believes in you...Hes tall, has a body to dies for and is sexy as sin!! Leesa has gone to stay in Peaceful Harbour, to spend some time with her friend.. Events out of her control, have forced her to leave everything she loves behind to work out what to do next... Leesa never expected to meet Cole Braden, or that she would fall head over heal for him.. I just love Melissa Foster and her amazing mind, she writes books that have you hooked for the very first page... Once you open one of them, you can't put it down. When you have finished, you feel the loss of her characters and the places they're at..
