    Passionate Historical Romance

Andrew and Hamish arrive in Dounreay on a mission. With men to assist them they are there to reinforce the castle and ensure that the lands are safe. Andrew is smitten upon his first encounter with Susana though she is more put out than enamored. For some reason Andrew also feels almost a sense of Déjà vu when around Susana but it takes him a while to figure out why. Susana knows all about Andrew and is more than ready to put him in his place. The tug of war for dominance in Dounreay that goes on between Susana and Andrew is lightened by the presence of Isobel, Susana’s five year old daughter. In fact, Isobel steals the show more often than not. This precocious hellion gets into more scrapes than most and also is wily enough to get out of them, too. She will be formidable when she is full grown! Undeniable passion and passionate scenes were present along with a traitor, a kidnapping and escape, some fighting, treason, and a treasure found are just a few of the things that happen in this book. I thoroughly enjoyed the story though perhaps I enjoyed the characters and story a bit more in the first book of the series, “Hannah and the Highlander”. I look forward with anticipation for the next book in the series “Lana and the Laird” while hoping that there will be a fourth book and it will be the one in which ginger haired Hamish will find his true love. 4.5 Stars

    Loved it!

No one tells a tale like Ms. York. She has mastered the historical romance genre. This is book two in the Untamed Highlanders series and it follows Andrew as he is sent on a mission by his brother (Alexander) to provide security and protection to Dounreay Castle. Once he arrives, he meets Susana. She greets him with nothing but hostility wants nothing to do with him. Susana acts nothing like a proper lady and does everything possible to undermine Andrew and his mission. Andrew is intrigued by Susana and can't escape the idea that she reminds him of his first love that still haunts him. Susana is hiding a secret that she will keep from him at almost any cost. What follows is a phenomenal historical romance that kept me turning pages as quickly as possible. The author has created a story that makes you feel as you are immersed in their world and following along with the characters as their tale unfolds. While Susana and the Scot is book 2 in a series, it is a stand alone novel. You will lose nothing by reading them out of order, however it is so good that you will want to read book 1 (Hannah and the Highlander) as well. This is a must read for fans of the genre and I would highly recommend it for all romance fans.

    Love this Highlander read!

Sabrina York's newest release, Susana and the Scot is an amazing read. This gem of a book was a pleasure to read. Susana and Andrew's story has such lovable characters, even that imp Isobel, that I was sorry the story ended. Susana and the Scot is a fast paced read with plenty of action and suspense, drama and sizzle, along with Sabrina York's own brand of humor in just the perfect amounts to make this book into the great read it is. Ms York has given me many hours of entertainment with her well written books and this book is only more proof that she has earned her spot as one of my favorite wordsmiths. I look forward to reading more from Sabrina in the future. Susana and the Scot is book 2 of the Untamed Highlanders Series, but it can be read as a stand alone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I received a copy of this book from NetGalley for review purposes.

Ms. York created a great character in Susana.

So nice to finally see a big strong man who was not afraid to show a sensitive side. Arrogant, stubborn and conceited all applied to Andrew but I like to think of him as a romantic at heart. Why else would he keep subjecting himself to Susana's fiery temper? Ms. York created a great character in Susana. Just as brash as Andrew but more opinionated. A scandalously hot tug of war that is every bit as winning a love story as it is an adventure. I received an ARC of Susana and the Scot in exchange for an honest review.
