  • Unusual Reason to Marry

Sweet Texas Fire is the second Sweet Texas Secrets books with this one written by Nicole Flockton. This series deals with a family of sons that stood to inherit property and business that they had invested their lives in along with their father, The late Mr. Cooper pulled a fast one on his sons changing his will, with what seems to be a plan to help them find love along with purpose in their lives. Quite an impressive premise with a different author writing each of the brothers’ stories. While each of the women who inherited were named in the first book, who they are and why they inherited instead of the beloved sons is a mystery until each one of the brothers has his story told. So with no more than a name along with a sentence or two about the women given earlier, each book can stand-alone. Gage’s story has more mystery to it than the first book in the series. It also has an opposites attraction trope along with a marriage of convenience. The later is not my favorite of scenarios to read. Still it does serve to make Gage a more approachable character. Though I have to admit most of us would have been wounded, heartbroken and offended by what had happened with the changing of the will. These were not rich boys who had lived off their Dad. Instead they were men who had worked alongside of him. Then Australian Charlotte Wilkinson has her own reasons for going head-to-head with Gage before hastily doing a turnabout and marrying him. Not the most realistic of plot lines but one that is most interesting. An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

  • Great book cover.

I love that Ms.Flockton is part of this collaboration. Cage Cooper received a key and a mystery at the reading of his dad's will involving Charlotte .

  • For love of land and heart

What happens when the attorney reads your dad's will and it doesn't say what dad says he was going to write in it? OH Man! Sweet Texas Fire is the second book in the Sweet Texas Secrets series and it is all about family and yes secrets. Don't worry you do not have to have read the first book in this series to enjoy this one, but I will share that the first book is just as good as the second book. This is Gage Cooper's story the oil man in the family. He is the brother who wants to gain his dad's approval the most I think. Then opposite Gage we have Charlotte Wilkinson an sexy Australian environmentalist who keeps him on his toes for lots of reason one of which is the land he wants. This is book is well written and fun to read while given me something to think about along the journey. Isn't that what a really good book should do?
