    Book 6

Book 6 and the tensions are running high with the preparations for Founders Day in full swing. Rumours are starting, doubts are being raised over Ginny's claims and Marisol is forced to make a life changing decision. I didn't enjoy this one as much as the others. There is something about this instalment that didn't sit well with me - I think maybe it is the authors writing style. Before anyone yells at me I know RZ is a highly recommended author - but maybe her writing is not for me - we cant all like the same - the world would be boring if we did. Received a copy of this book via the PR company.

    love; gained or lost

Patrick Murphy has been in love with Marisol Moreno since forever, but due to her circumstances he's been happy to always stand by her as her friend. Somebody she could rely on. But now he wants more and Marisol's constant excuses and rejection of his feelings. He could be the one to share her burdens and live her own life, instead of being completely focused on the siblings that she has been caring for since their parents died. But issuing her an ultimatum might just leave him disappointed and heartbroken. ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ 1/2 This was a great addition to the series. This book is mainly about Marisol and Patrick... I love these two! What I loved: • The author's writing style is smooth and sleek which made for easy reading. • The chemistry between Marisol and Patrick was wonderful. • The drama, and the fact that I am invested enough to want to talk some sense into a few characters. • Luis and Mallory.. those two are too cute with their "highschool" feelings and situations. What I likes less: •The author seemed to sum up what had happened in the previous stories often, which I felt was unnecessary due to the fact that these are meant to be read one right after another.. not as stand alones. All in all this is a series I continue to recommend and I can't wait for the next book! ** I recveived a free copy in exchange for an honest review **

    The storm is coming!

Luis Moreno is feeling dejected after seeing Mallory Alvarez flirting with other guys, and contrary to his habit Luis gets drunk on moonshine, and ends up complicating his life tenfold, not to say his sister Marisol’s, who is nearing the end of her rope. Marisol relishes her time with Patrick Murphy, but her hesitation to commit has him issuing an ultimatum, which leaves her even more confused. Ginny Moreno’s deception is beginning to weigh on her; she is beginning to behave a bit erratically as she fears that if the truth is known, she could lose it all, and she becomes unpleasant to her real family. The dreaded Senator Rush is after fresh meat, but Dakota Alvarez will not be deterred: she wants out of Storm, Texas, and he is her only hope. The political Rushes have a lot on their plate: getting rid of Dakota, separating Marcus Alvarez and Brittany Rush, all the while getting ready for Founders’ Day and for the upcoming elections. For anyone who has missed the first 5 episodes, TAKE THE STORM will get them somewhat up-to-date as Rebecca Zanetti succinctly recaps most of what happened previously. Having read all the episodes, I found it unnecessary, but that’s my opinion. I love how complex the characters and the relationships are, and most of all that I really disliked Dakota, and now she has become one of my favourite characters. I hope nothing awful happens to her; I understand the poor misguided girl. Ginny leaves me perplexed; she’s not so nice and sweet anymore, and poor, poor Marisol; I wish I could shake her! And while very little has been said about him, I wonder if my guesses about Jeffry Rush are right… Stay tuned for Episode 7 because the Storm is fast approaching!
