Action and A.I. pairings! What more do you need?

Never a dull moment with Tanis. As with the other Aeon 14 books, there is plenty of worldbuilding to go with the action and adventure. You don't have to have read other Aeon 14 books to enjoy this one but Storming the Norse Wind will give you a little back story. Can't go wrong with an M D Cooper book!

    Awesome story telling!

In my opinion, Tanis Richards is the defining character of Aeon 14 book franchise. I was really excited to finally get stories about Tanis before Outsystem occured (that is the 1st book in the franchise btw) - These are great examples of a story teller taking the reader on a fun ride. Buy it! love it! then buy book 2, and 3, and 4, you get the picture :)

A good prequel story to the Aeon14 universe

Great story, start of a trilogy (at least) of prequels of sorts, digging more into the beginnings of Tanis Richards, now one of my favourite characters in all the different book series I have read. You don't need to have read any of the main series (Intrepid Saga and Orion War) to read this book, it is a good stand alone introduction to the Aeon 14 universe and to Tanis. Compared to the other books, Tanis is paired with a different AI, Darla, who is certainly different to Angela, but a good character nonetheless who I think meshes well with Tanis. We don't see much of most of Tanis' crew here, but the ones we do see more of are good, rounded characters. Story itself is a good one, good degree of suspense and action throughout, with a few nice downtimes in amongst it all, with a couple of surprises in there. All up, another very good read.

Great Start to the Aeon 14 universe

Super book to get started with Aeon 14 and Tanis. M.D. Cooper has created a believable universe that is amazing with good science and wonderful story telling.

    Great story

This is a great story of Tanis Richards in the Aeon 14 time line. It tells of her early years and first pairing with an AI. Filled will action, laughter, and snark. This book is well worth your time reading.
