    Fun read

Tough one to review! The good side - fun story with great writing and characters. The storyline was fun too! A journalist with an attitude sent to a romance writers convention, the last place she wants to meet. When she meets Mac MacKenzie and discovers he's the romance writer BA MacKenzie, she's certain she has her story!! The bad side - it is super short! And because the characters and story are so good, it just left you wanting....more!! All in all it's a quick light fun read and I would recommend it.

Interesting set up in this novella

This was a quick and easy read with an interesting setting - a romance writer's convention, in which journalist Sheridan meets male romance author Mac. He's an anomaly in this setting and Sheridan's editor thinks a male versus female romance writer article would be great, though an inflammatory article might hurt Mac's career in the long run. Sheridan finds herself attracted to Mac and they share some intimate times, but when she thinks he's just using her for research will there be no happy ever after? This is an insta-love type of story (hence why it's in the lovestruck line) and for a novella, it had all the ingredients necessary for these two to fall in love. I liked the idea of a male romance author as the hero of the story, and I thought the setting was well described and realistic. There is some chemistry between them, and they share some not overly detailed scenes, enough to show that they connect well. Though I enjoyed Mac's character I had a harder time getting behind Sheridan's - she was quick to jump to conclusions and a bit judgmental. The ending was a bit abrupt but leaves you with the knowledge that they'll be working on a way to be together in the future. 3 stars.

    Magnetic...

Tempted by Mr. Write is a pick me up and not set me down read. Once started it is difficult to walk away from. The characters are magnetic, the story concept is cute and the writing is well done. I have a number of books from the series: A What Happens in Vegas story. Look forward to every read from it. My main issue with this story is that it ended too quickly for me. That was the only reason it was not a five star read for me. I received an ARC of Tempted by Mr. Write in exchange for an honest review.
