    Loved it

I really loved this one! I thought Mason was amazing. Not your normal alpha hero. He's a lot geeky, a complete social misfit, and he seems perfectly okay with that. Never does he try to be anything but who he is. Camilla is also great. Although shocked by some of what Mason says, well maybe everything he says, never is she demeaning or cruel. She seems to accept the way he is and goes with it. The story is very well written and completely entertaining. This is definitely one I would recommend.

TTNB delivers a lovable uniquely different hero.

Reviewed by Kim Tempting the New Boss by Angela Claire is different from any Brazen book I’ve read. And that difference, in my opinion, makes this a very unique story. This book will make you see things a little differently, and have you questioning your own interactions with people. Mason Talbot isn’t your typical hero, at least not any I’ve read. Mason is clueless and funny, without trying to be. At times, he’s even sweet and adorable. In the early reading stages of Tempting the New Boss, I found myself laughing and I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to be. Mason definitely lacks social skills. As it turns out, self-made billionaire Mason Talbot has the characteristics of a person with Asperger’s Syndrome, but he doesn’t actually have it. Camilla Anderson is like a coin. There are two sides to her and depending on what side you’re on determines which person you’re going to get. There’s the professional lawyer side, who is serious, all business, and focused on making sure her loans get paid off. Then, there’s the fun, throwing caution to the wind side. This side drinks until she’s tipsy and is a seductress. Sparks fly when these two reach cruising altitude on a transAtlantic flight. When their plane crashes and it’s just the two of them, they’re able to connect emotionally and physically. But, once rescued, all the good vibes seem to disappear. I love that Mason is different from other heroes. He looks at things differently than most people do. And I think it takes a very special person to see just how great he is. At times, I really thought Camilla was that person. However, when her family gets involved, my faith in her does falter. Tempting the New Boss has wonderful secondary characters. My favorites are definitely Joey (Camilla’s younger brother) and Marcia (Mason’s assistant). As I mentioned before, this isn’t your typical Brazen book. However, Mason is an amazing hero. He’s so much more than people give him credit for being. Angela Claire has delivered an opposites attract duo that will make you laugh, cheer, and at times, bring you close to tears. Mason is definitely one of those characters who has made an impression on my heart. **Received a copy from Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest unbiased opinion.**

    Unique & Inappropriately Funny Hero.

** Provided by Author in Exchange for an Honest Review ** Judging a Book by it's Cover: Blue-wash filter over the couple. Seductive and sexy. Bold, bright title. Blurb is LOL funny, loved it - had to read it... I think we all love the awkward nerds, so it's fun seeing them become the hot studs by the end. Looking Deeper: What a fun book, it had several LOL moments for me. Mason is socially awkward, has no verbal filter, and is generally etiquette-clueless. Camilla is his new lawyer, but Mason's assistant hopes Camilla can teach him some manners and social grace. The secondary cast is just as fun as the lead characters. There are a lot of bumps in their road to destiny, literally and figuratively, but they seem to draw upon each others' strengths when needed. Their physical chemistry can only be suppressed for so long before the sparks ignite. The emotional compatibility is difficult to really find at times. The plot is well-written, fun to read, and has enough dynamics to keep things interesting. The flow was very smooth and fluid. Ms. Claire touches on Asperger's, bringing to light that though one may be diagnosed with this condition, the person is not always disabled or handicapped, it is a spectrum condition with a wide range. I thank Ms. Claire for shining light on that - especially since I am mom to an Asperger's teen who has a social and communicative delay but is an Honor Roll student (but not even SHE is that clueless and ignorant to the world around her, so he's bewildering at times to me). There really is only one main conflict that comes into play throughout the book, much to Mason's confusion and dismay. Predictability is extremely low. I love the final scenes and how they play out, but felt that the ending is a little loose. I wish there had been an Epilogue to see how he adapts to the Anderson's over time or maybe a new family scene. Overall, it was a quick and enjoyable book. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Heat Level: 4 [R] ~ Score: 4.2 ~ Stars: 4 -------------------------------------------------------------------------

Not everyday you encounter a character like Mason.

It's not everyday that you encounter a character like Mason. Mason has a head for business, a body for sin and an aloof attitude that he hides behind to conceal his insecurities. Camilla sees the man behind the genius. As she gets to know him all she wants to do is help to build his confidence. I liked Tempting the New Boss. Mason was an Alpha in training that found himself when he met Camilla. He needed her guidance to help him develop the courage to speak up and never doubt the choices he had to make. She needed him to show her that she was more than a face in the crowd. Angela Claire took a different path with this read but that's what I feel made it all the more romantic. Received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
