    Texas Winter

Texas Winter is the second book in the series, and we see a return to Jack and Riley, which is never a bad thing in my book! Riley's past bites him as he learns that he has an eight-year-old child from a relationship he had in college. This is a lot to get his head around, especially with the cryptic messages that he gets from Hayley's great-aunt, and also from Lexie in a letter. On top of this, he has the FBI breathing down his neck regarding dodgy deals that Jeff set up, but with Riley's signature. For saying that such a lot goes on in this book, it actually felt more like a novella, than a full length book. Jack and Riley are as fantastic as always. I love their connection, and the way they make their house a home. Floundering as every parent does, I nevertheless appreciated how they tried to make it as simple as possible for Hayley! Excellently written as always, with no editing or grammatical errors to disrupt my reading flow, this is a wonderful addition to the series, and I look forward to continuing with their stories. Ok title

Both book one and two were good but I found too much plot going on.
