    Not bad

I liked the story line. Thought the book was pretty good. Needs a good editor tho. The mistakes where almost distracting from the story.

    Every bit the romantic adventure

After the awesomeness that was The Wedding Trap, I just had to have more, and The Agent Next Door did not disappoint! Erin is a somewhat shy woman living in a small, quiet neighborhood. Her elderly neighbor Marianne keeps her company and keeps the rest of us entertained with her antics — gossiping about the neighborhood, spying on the moving van across the street, and meddling in the first sign of a potential love life for Erin. When they first lay eyes on John, the new neighbor who is clearly more than the incredibly attractive package he comes in, Erin is interested but knows better than to think he'd ever take an interest in her. She's happy with her life but rather insecure in her looks, and John is the kind of man who should have a model on each arm. But things take an insane and dangerous turn almost immediately, when one of John's old enemies targets what is supposed to be his low-key new life, and Erin's house becomes collateral damage. Erin and John are forced into close proximity when she's placed into protective custody but refuses to leave her neighborhood. The daughter of a criminal who went out in a blaze of glory, she's seen the ugliest side of criminal life, and while John's on the right side of the law, it doesn't change who she is. But John knows she's more than just her father's daughter, and while he can't seem to control the willful woman, he can't stand the idea of her being in danger, especially since he's the one who brought it right to her door. The more time they spend together, the more things between them spark and come to life, and I'm sure I don't have to explain how that goes. There's chemistry, strong emotion, and moments of utter hilarity (thanks in part to the gem that is Marianne), but there's also enough action and intrigue to keep you guessing. The Agent Next Door is every bit the romantic adventure the first book was, and while it could easily be a stand-alone, I definitely suggest grabbing them both.
