    Not fabulous

I bought this series on a deal....Thank Goodness!! The first books was good. It started out with action and each subsequent chapter ended with a wonder of "what happens next!" It was definitely a page turner. The second book was just OK, not as much action and a lot of techno-babble. The development of the relationships between Elizabeth, Will, Eva and Arthur was interesting, not in a bad way. The third book was a snore fest. The last three chapters were good, but not enough for me to continue with the series.

    Time travel tedium

A good story line in need of thorough editing. Too much telling and not enough showing. Too many logical and historical inconsistencies even for a fantasy series.

    The Aliomenti Saga Books 1-3

I found the first of these books very interesting, and a good read. When it came to the second and third book, I became fustrated with all the flash backs and continuous repeating of what had happened in the past bringing it to present time. A synopsis of the events leading to the present at the beginning of each sequel would have made the read more pleasurable.

    Magic and History

This set offers some interesting takes on magic/mental abilities, but sometimes reads as anthropology text. After the initial conflict, the plot becomes a bit pedantic, plodding and predictable. Still, an average interest level.

    Could be better

The story premise was good. But the writing felt forced and contrived in a number of places. The dialogue was stilted. Will in particular used words more suitable to a review than conversation. I finally gave up part way through the 2nd book.
