    Profanity unnecessary

While I really enjoy this series and the whodunit had me guessing right until the end, the profanity, although minimal, will turn some cozy fans off. The characters and story are top notch but the profanity is unnecessary. I voluntarily read an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

    nail biting ending

Nail biting ending. Strong Plot. Excellent Series. It's a race against time as Charley Carpenter tackles the murder of her old friend Calvin Prescott. Charley's vintage clothing store's financial struggles become dire when someone leaks a lie linking Charley to an unpopular zoning change because of her financial dealings with heirs of Mulbridge House. Defying her boyfriend, Det. Marcus Trenault, Charley not only risks their relationship but also her life when she conceals knowledge she's gained while continuing to investigate.

    Getting tired

Overall, I like the characters but I have to admit I am getting tired of the main character’s stubbornness. For me it has morphed into stupidity which kills the mood of the book. I find myself getting angry & skipping to the end.

    The antique house of murders

An entertaining book, but with some superficial insights. The plot is not bad, but, as well, not always very realistic
