    Excellent

YAY! We finally get Leo's story and it's fantastic. This is the fifth book in the Men of At Ease Ranch series but you can read any of them as standalones without a problem. Prior characters and little jokes are referenced so those of us who have read the prior books get an extra little chuckle. Kaydee and Leo are great characters both of which are looking after aging grandparents. That's initially how they get together. What keeps them together...well that's a whole other story. Loved seeing these two find their way to a HEA. This entire series has been fun to read. I recommend this book and the series.

    Rounded up from 3.5 stars

I like the characters and the story...especially the frisky octogenarians. It was a little different for me to read a story where both main characters are emotionally damaged but it felt like they didn't exactly open up about both of their issues. There was a nice chemistry between Kaydee and Leo and the connection felt natural but it was just a little too insta-love to give it a 5 star.

    The Army Ranger’s Surprise

Ooh this is really what it says a love struck story. But it is worth reading not only because it is part of a good series but the way it is told. The background of veterans healing after their return stateside and how with positive help they will live again.

    lovley read

Another cowboy from At-Ease Ranch fells in love. Leo past is not something that he brags about and that is why he doesn't let people get to close to him. Until he meets her grandmother's neighbor Kaydee. The sparks fly and soon is hard to stay away from each other. We see Leo struggle through the whole book he feels incompetent and little by little his self-confidence is growing and Kaydee is the one to thank for. But he still thinks that he will screw up with her so he wants to let her go. But is too late Kaydee is in love with him and will he opened his eyes will the other boys help him to see the truth? A story with not so much happening but with two great characters with great chemistry. Enjoyable read. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book for Netgelly

    Entertaining

I enjoyed reading Leo's story. He's been mentioned in prior books, but never focused on, so it was nice to read about him finally finding someone. Kaydee is also a fun character that I enjoyed reading about. I love the Men of at Ease Ranch series, and, while this is a worthy addition to the series, it's not my favorite book in the series. I found that, while I liked the characters, I didn't feel connected to them. Because of this, while I wanted them to have a HEA, I didn't feel invested in it. Even with this minor criticism, this is a delightful novel that is out just in time for summer beach reading. While this is part of a series, this is a stand alone novel. The author is on my must read author's list.
