Tantalizing weave of forensic science with fringe

The Atlas Defect begins with a well-crafted forensic teaser that builds the suspense throughout the story. It lights the “fire of interest” for the unique main characters. You feel the robust landscapes of the story as the mystery grows and danger intensifies. Eleri and Donovan are seamlessly developed within the tapestry of story that keeps you turning the pages. They possess a fascinating mix of strengths and weaknesses that make their harrowing march toward truth breathtaking and plausible. This author does a masterful job weaving complex forensic science and fanciful fringe science. The blurring of the line keeps you on the edge as you take on the mission. You will feel everything. This book pulls you in. The NightShade Forensic Files could only be written by someone with solid forensic expertise and a love for the fringe from where all science emerges. Bravo A.J. Scudiere!

    Weirdest Case Yet

Donovan and Eleri are back for their weirdest case to date. And they're not alone. When they set out to determine the origin of odd skeletal remains, they find themselves at the center of a decades' old mystery that spans two continents, several states, and puts them in the crosshairs of one old acquaintance and one new. They're being followed, but by friend or foe? And what are they to do when live people bearing the strange skeletal abnormalities turn up? I absolutely adore this paranormal suspense series and have fallen even more in love with the two primary characters, especially Donovan. No spoilers, but you'll get a lot more up close and personal with the former ME and modern day werewolf Donovan. Highly recommend!
