  • Loved it!

First, I waited for this book for months. Pre-ordered it. I love the characters, how Breen developed her self esteem through her journey. How funny Marco is with her! I love Bollocks, and I want more stories of his adventures. I can’t wait for the next book. As usual, another year to wait. I hope the next of the series gets released months ahead of time. Really a fun read, I breezed through the pages.

  • Great storytelling!

I must say that the storytelling was fantastic. This author really brought to life not only Ireland, but this alternate universe she created. Just the scenery alone was worth the read. This first book is more about the heroine, Breen learning who she really is, and shedding the old Breen her mother tried to mold her into. We also get introduced to many characters in this alternate universe that will have a lot to do with the overall storyline. The imagery of each of these characters were just as fascinating as their surroundings. I loved seeing Breen shine as she learns where she truly comes from. I really liked her character and could relate to her struggles with confidence. I also like how she handles many conflicts that dealt with this confidence issue she has that was bred by her mother. Keegan was a harder character for me to like. He's an honorable man who has this fierce need to protect everyone, but that need got in his way of his compassion towards Breen in this book. It will be interesting to see how he changes in the next book now that he sees what he's asked of her. As I mentioned before, there are many side characters that add to the overall story and I am looking forward to seeing where they all will fit in as things escalate. I'm looking forward to the next in the series.

  • Wonderful story,beautifully written.

Loved, loved it! As usual, hated to get to the end, and simply can’t wait for book 2 in this trilogy! Hope it’s not too far off. Nora Roberts, as usual, is the very best of the best! She hasn’t written anything that I haven’t read and completely enjoyed and get so engrossed that I am always sad when I come to the end because I always want more!

  • Love her work, as usual

Oh geez, as usual, Nora Roberts draws me into a new world and characters that I wish I was, that make me laugh, cry, root for,and despise (the bad guys). I love her spin on romance and fantasy and what she started with the chronicles of the One, and is continuing with this new series. I get that these concepts are so rich and detailed, so need more time to tell the tale, but I was not expecting the ending as it were, and now I have to wait a whole year for the next part, it’s gonna kille me to wait that long. Loved the book, love the new story, just love love love.

  • Awesome

So hard to put down. The words just took you away to Ireland. It was almost lie being there. The characters were wonderful.
