    Thanks for your feedback!

    Definitely have a hankie nearby.

Oh my goodness. When I read the reviews on this story and one of the reviews said to have a box of tissues she was not joking! This story will touch the most tender parts of your heart. The struggles Mattie had to go through took my breath away and I found myself grieving for her and Leroy. But, trusting in a loving Father in Heaven can get us through anything. If we let Him.

To have a wife and children in this big house, he would feel truly blessed. He would wait, and maybe in time she would come to love him. Very emotional

This book had so many elements to it. A telling to three daughters about a past of their mother and father they never knew. Accidentally coming across some baby clothes and other items hidden in an old hope chest in the attic brings lots of questions. A brother they never knew about and a former marriage of their mother. Mattie had so much loss in such a short time. Lots of grief to work through. Lifelong friend Leroy tries his best to help her through this tough period but has little success. I really felt sorry for Leroy. He kept getting slapped down no matter what he tried to do for Mattie. He wouldn't give up and kept trying to get through to her. How many rejection letters will it take for him to finally understand and give up? This had been hidden for many years and the telling to her daughters was a healing for Mattie all its on. This story requires lots of tissues so keep a box handy. I enjoyed the characters and how good friends can help get you through a crisis. This was a wonderful conclusion to the series. Happy tears now, not sad ones! I received this book through the Fiction Guild and was not required to write a review, positive or otherwise.
