    Spell binding

This book is a great read. And since I am a Dutch xCanadian and lived through the 2 world war much of the stories in this book gets close to home. Our family hid a family of Jews for the last three years of the war in the knowledge that if they were found they and our family would be shot. By the Grace of God that never happened. There were several people in our town who betrayed there fellow man. So if my mom and Dad were still here they would be able to relate to Fear and. Anxiety. Distrust.and Disappointment. But they never lost their Faith in God. God Bless you in your further endeavours.FDJ

    Gripping, cruelish cold war account

Once you get into the flow of rogers first-person writing, this spy thriller hits you like a wave of machine-gun fire. Apart from bone-chilling accounts of bravery and bumbling of US staff it is the suffering at the cruel hands of the Stasi of Anna, the East German love interest that shocks the reader.
