    Truly Intense

******I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Review Copy of this book***** This story is amazingly written with so much suspense, mystery and baffling magical power amongst the families. Burning Gold begins where the Bewitching Hour ended with the author filling the storyline with much more twists and turns of events to keep you gasping for breath. The plot continues to unravel bit by bit answering the questions in the first book but leaves so many unexpected new questions to be revealed in the next book (cliffhanger). The dialogue truly pulls you into the storyline and makes you feels as if you are a part of it. Now I won't leave spoilers, I want you to read this one for yourself. I will start on the next one "Long and Lost".

    Family Secrets

3.5 stars. The Bewitching Hour is the first book in a new series. This can be read as a standalone but does end in a soft cliffhanger for the next book. It is a quick read so it's perfect for an afternoon sitting outside by a pool, at the beach, or curled up on the sofa. There is violence and witch craft. There is hot steamy sex scenes so 18+. The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that all of that info here. This book had a twist on the typical storyline, which I liked. The witch families remind me of mafia families which makes this storyline more interesting. The author did a good job of describing the setting and making the main characters (Sam and Derek) relatable. I do want to find out more about the families and will continue to read the rest of the series.

    The Bewitching Hour.

Suspense, believable plot and clever characters in a nice simple police investagation. Witches and humans interacting to protect the world. I like that a lot.

    Great start

Sam seems to be a recluse but she's actually hiding from who she really is a witch. She walked away from her family and her magic for a normal life or as much of one she could have. Derick is a detective S that lives in her building that thinks she's weird and just smokes yet they have an attraction once they meet. There's a serial killer and Sam can't look away especially when she know the guys helping the police aren't really physic. She goes to Derick to tell him but he really thinks she nuts but his boss know of her family so he wants her on the case. It's a crazy cat and mouse chase against a killer but no ordinary one. He's from her world and this makes it so much more dangerous especially when she opens herself up to the world she walked away from. I really enjoyed the start of this series and can't wait for the next book to see where this is going. If you like witches and warlocks then this is a series for you. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book."
