Quick read with fun moments and steam

The Big Alpha In Town consists of these: •quick but fun stories √ •OTT Alpha shifters √ •possessive shifters √ •steamy scenes √ •meeting their mates √ •steamy banters √ •sexual tension √ •fast-paced √ •great secondary characters √ So, basically all stories have that. The fun in reading this is the journey these shifters’s go through to convince their heroines that they are their “mates”. Imagine yourself having that surprise in your life. A lot unrealistic yes, (Welcome to PNR, people!) but the point is, this is enjoyable if you are into stories like these. Which I am. My favorite among the three stories will be from the first book, Bearing His Name by Eve Langlais. Why? I just like Ark. He’s charming and quirky and his actions are a bit ridiculous, but in a charming way. Again, IMO. Followed by Kate Baxter’s No Need Fur Love, then Milly Taiden’s Owned by The Lion. All of theses are enjoyable if you are into reading insta-lust. Because we are talking about shifters here. And if you’re just looking for a quick read and just to pass time, then this book is for you. Three short, fun-filled, insta-lust, written by the authors known to bring steam on their books. *ARC provided by Netgalley for review purposes*

    Fun, fast read!!!

*Received ARC from NetGalley for a fair and honest review** This book is a compilation of three stories by Eve Langlais, Milly Taiden and Kate Baxter. This was a fun, fast read. I will read anything by Eve Langlais, as I know that when I pick up one of her books there will be over the top silliness/craziness. And this book is no exception, and not to leave out the hot and steaminess! Bearing his Name by Eve Langlais Ark is a werebear. When he gets a note in the mail saying he's a dad, he's stumped and is bound to get to the bottom of whatever is going on. What he wasn't expecting was to meet his mate, Jade. There's only one small problem, his mate happens to be the sister of the girl he supposedly impregnated. I enjoyed the characters, and the chemistry. It was a fun, fast enjoyable read. The only thing that I didn't like was the sisters tie in with her ex-bf. Don't want to say anymore or I would be giving away major spoilers. Overall, was a fun read. Owned by the Lion by Milly Taiden Keir is a lion. And a lion that likes to leave his options available. Not into relationships, just likes to constantly be around beautiful women. Little does he know that his lifestyle will come back to bite him in the backside. So when he meets his mate, she doesn't fall at his feet like most women. He has to work at getting her to go out with him. And what's worse are all the women that he knows that aren't ready to let him go. Not only that, but Ally is his best friends sister. Another fun, fast read. I really enjoyed the characters and their chemistry. What I had an issue with was, Keir is supposed to be really close with his best friend and the mother, yet he never knew there was another sister? Other than that, I really enjoyed the book. No Need Fur Love by Kate Baxter Owen isn't expecting to find his mate. He's at the bar when Mia walks into the bar he's at and he overhears her talking about needing to get pregnant and he's intrigued. This book fell a little flat for me. It felt rushed, and incomplete to me. I really struggled to get through this book. Overall I did enjoy the book, and I look forward to hopefully reading some of the secondary characters stories. Hope this helps. Happy Reading!!!

    3 shorts worth a read

Big Alpha in Town contains short stories that revolve around shifters finding their mates. Bearing His Name by Eve Langlais involves Ark finding his mate Jade. Jade believes Ark impregnated her sister, and Ark strives to convince Jade otherwise. Owned by the Lion by Milly Taiden centers around Keir finding his mate Ally. Keir hopes to gain Ally's love before revealing to her the depth of his ties to her. No Need Fur Love by Kate Baxter centers around Owen finding his mate Mia. Mia finds Owen looking for a one-night stand, and is shocked to discover their immediate bond. Problems arise for the couple when Mia's father is unsupportive. I enjoyed the romantic snapshots contained in Big Alpha in Town. All the characters were likable, and taking part in their relationships was entertaining. Out of the three short stories in Big Alpha in Town, my favorite was Bearing His Name. Ark was a strong alpha male but to me never felt too arrogant. I found him, and his entire clan for that matter, charming and hilarious. The other two stories were enjoyable as well, but my favorite tales are those with a good dose of humor throughout them. Compilation novels present an excellent opportunity to try an author's writing style. I have since pursued other works of those authors unfamiliar to me, and I recommend giving them all a try. I received an ARC copy from NetGalley and St. Martin's Press in exchange for my honest opinion. All opinions are my own and may not be identical to others. I urge all readers to come to their own conclusions.
