    Thanks for your feedback!

Books 1-4 are beyond amazing...this one is a NO!

I have read all of the other books in this series twice. They were smart and the characters were well developed. I was very excited for this book. This book was very different. There was no con. All the smart characters were replaced with a goofy, dumb version of themselves. Instead of mounting a smart and elaborate con to nail a bad guy, the team was sloppy and almost all of the characters (enen Kate) were so annoying I could hardly finish it. An ice cream truck, glitter and a stupid... all added nothing to the plot took over the 1st 12 chapters of the book. I missed the exotic sets, smart and funny (not goofy) team if experts that made this series great.

Good but different from others in the series.

Since this is the sixth book in the series, you have certain expectations of what is going to be in the book. This book went in a different direction, so it wasn't what I was expecting. Without giving any spoilers, in the previous 5 books, the were running a con in order to catch a con. Not the case in this book, and as a result most of the characters I've come to expect aren't here. (The only part of Fox and O'Hare's crew that are in this book is Kate's father; I think the book loses something without the presence of the rest of them). The book is still good and funny but not what I was expecting.

    The Big Disappointment

I’ll start by saying that I love all the other books in this series. I DID NOT even sort of like this one. The book was boring, the characters felt forced with none of the humorous dialogue of its predecessor books. The plot had none of the smart cons that are a hallmark of the series. It may be that with the departure of Lee Goldberg from being the co-author, that the humour and wit is gone from the characters. All I can say is the this should have been titled the Big Disappointment instead.
