    Great read!

The Penn Cage saga gets better and better. This is the middle book of a trilogy that deals with racism in the South. The first book, "Natchez Burning" was also excellent. This is not a stand alone novel. It is long but well with the effort. If you're interested in a story that keeps you captivated from beginning to end, you won't find one better than this. Iles is a fine writer who has really hit his stride. I recommend this highly.

    The Bone Tree

Excellent read! Although a bit long for my liking, I am looking forward to the last novel in this trilogy.

    Natchez Burning

Fan of Greg Iles but found this one a bit overlong; could have been a bit shorter yet still accomplish the same effect. Not quite as riveting as previous works. Looks to be setting up for the 3rd book in the series.

    Terrible ending

This book, aside from one small part in the middle, kept me absolutely mesmerized. Fantastic story. I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that the ending ruined the entire experience. I can only hope that a sequel is in the very near future.

    Title is perfect..

It was amazing. I think Greg's medical issues over the last couple of years actually made him a better writer. Love you Greg Iles!!
