  • Couldn't put it down!

This is the first book in the new Bookworm's Guide series and one that I had a hard time putting down! In true Emma fashion she delivered a book that was hilarious with witty banter, tons of shenanigans (especially from the grandparents) and so much heat from the chemistry that I didn't realize I finished until I couldn't swipe more pages. If you enjoy a friends to lovers rom com that will have you smiling, laughing and swooning then pickup this book and enjoy the ride!

  • Adorably awkward

I feel like I’ve been waiting three years for Emma Hart to release The Bookworm’s Guide to Dating. It was worth the wait! We have the adorably awkward Kinsley… really would it be an Emma Hart book without an awkward heroine? I feel like it’s one of her signature styles in her RomComs… let me add that I don’t mind that at all! So, Kinsley is wanting to start her next year off with dating more. But she’s awkward and it really only seems to be in her favor after people know her. Her brother’s BF Josh wants to help get her dating ready. Really, I think Josh just wanted to be around her. He’s been crushing on Kinsley for as long as he can remember. Kinsley is completely clueless! Emma Hart gives ever RomCom book lovers what they want here… we get a brother’s best friend, friends to lovers with an excruciating slow burn! Josh made a deal with Kinsley’s brother years ago… no dating each other’s sister… but of course, Josh is crushing hard! I loved that Kinsley slowly realizes what has been in front of her this entire time. It just takes lots of book jokes, a ton of awkwardness that is seriously endearing, and chemistry like you only get in a Hart RomCom. Oh, let’s not forget the hilarious senior citizens and their ducks! I have a huge thing for the secondary characters Emma Hart puts in her novels. They’re always the best. The quirkiest. The weirdest. The sweetest. The most bluntly, brutally honest characters! I’m just plain tickled that this is the start of a new series and we’re gonna revisit this bookstore in the coming months! Lord knows I can’t go just once to a bookstore! I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I will leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that... my opinions.

  • Absolutely brilliant!

What an absolutely brilliant book. I found that as I was reading about Kinsley and Josh, I just couldn’t help grinning. My smile didn’t end when the book finished, no way...I just loved it. It was witty and so much amazing banter that you couldn’t help but laugh. Kinsley has Josh helping her as a matchmaker but can Josh keep his feelings hidden. Yes he may like his best friends sister but what would cause him to act on it? Needless to say this book has a whole lot of drama and grandparent antics that will keep you laughing but in all honesty, its so very entertaining. I love the friendships in the story, real friends who talk about alot of life stuff. Can Kinsley and Josh become more without hurting the one person they both know may not approve? Shhhh...go 1 - click for yourself, Im not giving it away! Be prepared for a highly fun story that will charm your pants off. Kudos to the author for writing it too. Loved it wholeheartedly.

  • Entertaining

5 star review The Bookworm’s Guide To Dating (The Bookworm’s Guide #1) by Emma Hart I know this is hard to believe but this is the first book that I have read by Emma Hart and how I have not read a book of hers before I have absolutely no idea. This was such an entertaining and fun read and one that captivated me from the first to the last chapter. I loved the blurb for this book; Kinsley Lane is horrified when her brother’s best friend Josh Carter decides to it find Kinsley a boyfriend. What follows is a humorous story that had me laughing out loud on occasion and ticked the boxes for me. As Kinsley goes on the dates Josh sets up she is frustrated as the man she really wants is Josh but he doesn’t seem to see her. The Bookworm’s Guide to Dating is a great example romantic comedy. I love small town romances and I could easily see myself visiting the bookshop in Montana. A fun read that ticked the boxes for me. Not only did I love Kinsley and Josh but the secondary characters were just as entertaining.Looking forward to reading more in this series.

  • Fun and bookish and surprisingly hot, too.

I always like a story set in a bookshop, and this one didn’t disappoint. Girlfriends running a bookstore, lots of talks about books and their passion for them, and a handsome gentleman who pines in secret for the awkward and snarky owner. It is easy fun, with plenty of humorous dialogues filled with banter and attitude. I enjoyed the romance that goes from secret crush to forbidden relationship to happy ending. It is well developed, prompts many smiles and some laughs especially around the ducks debacle but also with the characters' crazy remarks, and has a couple of hot scenes that sizzle. I really liked how the girls deal with the bookshop. It made me want to be part of the team! The romance is cute and funny. The part related to the brother was over the top, but added some meat to the couple's fear of being found out. Nice start of a new interrelated series. Give me more bookish females!
