  • Hot Baseball Player and Bookworm!

4☆ Hot baseball player back in town and the bookworm isn't happy about it! Sebastian and Holley have a huge past and let's just say Holley isn't leading the welcome wagon. I love their story of trying to work through their history and find out what their future holds. They are super cute together and are each others perfect match. This is the kind of book you can't put down you enjoy reading it so much. Definitely a feel good and funny story!

  • Hilarious & fun read

First things first; I love the cover of this book! The bookworm’s guide to faking it is the second book in the ‘’bookworm’s guide’’ series. I devoured this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters loveable and the storyline hilarious. Holley and Sebastian were best friends for years before they parted ways. After Sebastian hurt Holley, she shut him out of her life. Years later and now a professional athlete, Sebastian returns home to recover from an injury. Whilst home, he is determined to get Holley back in his life. Will Holley and Sebastian get a second chance at friendship with the added bonus of a relationship? The chemistry between Sebastian and Holley is clear to see and I loved them together. I thought they were perfect for one another. I loved the banter between them. The whole duck situation is hilarious! I loved the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for the next book in this series.

  • Pure gold!

This book was pure gold. Holley is this larger than life character, speaks her mind, is sassy and snarky and just someone you would want in your corner. She runs the bookshop in town with her two best friends. They are all quite something when together! When Sebastian returns to town, needless to say there is alot of tension between him and Holley. What happened at prom eight years ago? When the truth is revealed can Holley put her past behind and be friends with him again? Are there still feelings involved? There was a lot about this book that I really enjoyed. The banter was snarky at times but also incredibly entertaining. The characters were amazing, the family and friendships just wonderful and it was the feel good story I really needed. Ms Hart has true talent in writing a romantic comedy with great characters you just want to be friends with. Truly wonderful!

  • These Bookworms Are Fun

The girls and guys in Emma Hart's The Bookworm's Guide series are representative of what Emma does so well. Self-sufficient, smart, and well-read, the ladies know their words and aren't afraid to use them, often at the expense of the boys, who sometimes don't know what to do with the girls, but are trying their absolute best. Honestly, it's what keeps me coming back, because sass and snark are necessary when settling down with a good read. Add in some second-chance romance aka 'prom night gone bad but, hey, we still aren't over each other,' and this is rom-com gold, a genre that Emma's mastered like nobody's business. Holley and Seb are the stars of this show, but all the familiar faces are here, too, making for good times all around, and setting the stage for Saylor's and Dylan's story, which I can't wait for. If you haven't dived into this series, now is the time. Queue them up and enjoy. ❤️
