  • Funny, witty

OMG! Lauren you are the queen of the MM genre! Funny, witty, sexy banter are all that describe this story! I have been waiting for River's story and it did not disapoint. River and Owen have been friends for years and at the time they made a pact to never date or hook up with each other. Present time, they go on a trip to Tahoe and get stuck in a snow storm. Being stuck in Declan's family cabin, forces them to come face to face with what had been right in their face all along! Great story and characters and I can't wait to see what's in store for TJ in NYC. I volunteered to review this great story.

  • Chemistry and passion galore!

The Bromance Zone is everything that a great Lauren Blakely book has become known for - amazing chemistry, flirty banter, some tension and a lot of heart. River and Owen have been friends for eight years and while they've both secretly been attracted to the other, they had made a pact while in college because their friendship was so important to them. It's obvious they have chemistry and being friends works until they are put in a position where they both let their guard down and their passion explodes. Will they be able to make a relationship work? The chemistry and passion just leapt off the pages! I was so invested in Owen and River and I wanted them to have their HEA so badly. I loved how important their friendship was even while they were cultivating what was going to come next for them. I'm very interested to see how TJ's story plays out when we get that one!

  • Some Pacts Were Meant To Be Broken.

Lauren Blakely has done it again! She really knows her men! She's figured out what makes them tick and their wants but more importantly, she understands that love is love. If you have been reading her other M/M novels, you would have heard about River, the bar owner and his best friend of eight years, Owen. They were college buddies that made a pack that friends do not have benefits. And they have held strong over the years, even though each of them secretly would like to toss the pact right in the bin. So I suppose you could say, it has been a slow burn to get to the point of a do or die situation, that it has been eight years of foreplay. River and Owen take a road trip, to see Owen's friends but get caught in a snow storm at Declan's mother's log cabin. They feel uneasy spending solitude time together, not realising that they are both now on the same page, and want to take their friendship to an even better place. It was magic watching these two discover each others feelings, and it didn't matter who kissed who first, just that they did! Now they don't want to leave the cabin and burst the bubble of what they just started. It's a bit of an anxious time to wait until they can talk about what happened and where do they go from here. There is so much to love about this book, seeing River and Owen finally getting their HEA was extraordinary. It is a full length book, but it is a very quick read because it's so captivating. Being a friends to romance trope, just made it even more special for me. They truly got each other and only wanted the best for the other. And when Owen reintroduces River as his boyfriend ..... gah.... hits you right in the chest. Grant and Declan have a cameo or two......can't get enough of these guys! And there's a little hint as to what TJ's book will be about, that's book two in the Good Guys series.

  • Fabulous Love Story

Owen and River in love…I’m so in love that they’re in love ❤️ River and Owen have been throwing sparks, innuendos, and love shots since their friendship began. Flirting and hidden feelings always present. But both keep their deepest feelings hidden. They have so much to give but are too afraid to take that leap. A friendship that has stood the test of time and exes can’t be chanced. But one road trip, a snowy night, and lust, pure animal lust lead to a leap of faith. These two were absolutely brilliant and lovable. Their banter and flirting was heartwarming. But when they finally give in to their hearts, well, my 📖❤️ was overjoyed.

  • Irresistible, heartwarming, and sizzling romance!

This was such a charming, fun, and steamy friends to lovers romance. Owen and River have been best friends since college. They never wanted to lose that connection, so they made a pact to never sleep together. Now eight years later they are on a road trip when they get snowed in at a cabin. As they spend the night together, finding out new things about each other, they can't hide the deep feelings they have for each other any longer. They have an explosive night together, but can they risk the close bond they both need to go after the life they both want together? This is a beautiful, and moving story with lots of witty banter and steamy passion. Owen and River just really melted my heart. They are a cute and endearing couple with explosive chemistry, and watching these two men open up and fight for their love was so beautiful. Blakely does such a great job developing their romance, and their romantic feelings, and allowing us to feel all the desire, chemistry, and their close connection, and that is what makes this book so wonderful. I was totally captivated by this irresistible, heartwarming, and sizzling romance!
