    Heartbreaking

3.5 stars. This is a good book and a fast read. The topic is heartbreaking. It’s never easy to read about child abuse, but fortunately the author does not bother us with gory details. The story line is well developed and I grabbed from the beginning. The end was very emotional. The reason I’m not rating 4 or five stars is because I had high expectations after reading the exceptional “The Child Finder” (or “The Enchanted”, which is not related to this series). On those previous books the author’s writing style was somehow magical. That is what I really missed here.

    Loved it

This book follows her book Child Finder which I loved but this one moved me to tears which rarely happens. I can’t wait to read more from this author and I hope to read more about Naomi and her family.

    The Butterfly Girl

Beautifully written! One felt the anguish of anybody who has lost contact with a loved one. The horrors that some children have to endure were vividly drawn. In the early stages it was a little confusing as to whom was whose sister but this was clearly defined by the end. Poetic and horrific at the same time.

    2 Late Nights

Nights in a row I couldn't put this book down and go to sleep. Great characters, and I learned so much about the lives of street people. Compassionate storytelling.

    The Butterfly Girl

A sad story with a happy ending. It was a quick read and once I got past the sadness was enjoyable.
