    Thanks for your feedback!

I was actually pretty intrigued by the book, I had already saw the movie, but, was glad that I read the book. Even though the movie is very good, the book gives a more detailed description and answered a lot of questions that I never thought of. It gives a detailed look into Celie's life, where you can't help but wonder if the letters that she was writing to god and her sister were the only things keeping her alive.

    The Color Purple

A thoughtful expose on racism, the effect of abuse, violence, sexism, sexuality, bitterness and most of all, love. This is told from the perspective of two sisters, Celie and Nellie wbo love each otber dearly but get ripped apart earl on. We get to read tbe letters they write each oef
