    Good read

    A good look at what some women & children would have had to live with in that era. I like that the author wrote as Mary & not about Mary. It made it more real. As you read do not get frustrated or angry at the lack of punctuation, because you must bear in mind that Mary only recently learned to read, write & spell. So don't judge too harshly but appreciate how fortunate we are to have read about m.a.r.y. & not live her story. A sad ending but worth reading.
