This is a review of the Trilogy only. It's not horror, just horrifically bad. It's a 1500 page "shaggy dog" story. The first book should have been no more than 100 pages, not 500. J. Thorn is in desperate need of a competent editor. I read the whole trilogy, unbelievably, waiting for the story line to redeem itself. It just doesn't. Don't waste your time, people - life is too precious. But if you want to feel abject frustration with a book that takes 1500 pages to say almost nothing - this is the book for you. The ending made me groan; the pain was almost physical. If I could give this zero stars, I would.
