Thoroughly Refutes "The War Between The States"

This book completely refutes the array of "arguments" made to support the claims that the American Civil War was about anything other than slavery. Inclusion of the various states' Legislatures' statements of causes of secession ABSOLUTELY shows that slavery was the one central cause and that all others, few as they were, were only causes as they touched upon slavery. The one mis-characterization I noticed was the "reversal" of the Republicans in 1964. The author says that Republicans courted the Southern white vote in the 1964 election enabled a Democrat Congress to pass this bill. In fact, Lyndon Johnson signed the bill into law on July 2, 1964 AFTER lobbying Senate Republicans to break a Democrat filibuster of the bill. Also, Republicans in each House of Congress voted for the bill in larger portion of their numbers than did the Democrats.
