  • Love This Series

Kate was a rolling stone. She liked it that way. When she is gravely injured, she has to return home when the medical bills pile up and she can't work. She has to face her brothers on Rebel Ranch but that doesn't mean they need to know how injured she is. She can fake it....sure she can! Jess can't believe Kate has returned to Rebel Ranch just as he has taken the job of foreman. That was supposed to be her job but she took too long to answer so Kate's brothers offered it to Jess. Kate and Jess have a history and Kate is none too happy that Jess is back in town and he has her job! I love the Rainbolt family and with this being the last book, I will miss them! I'm so glad all the characters were featured heavily in this story so we could "say goodbye" to them! Kate is independent, adventurous and strong-willed but she needs to settle down and stay in one place. It just takes an injury to figure that out! Jess isn't going to let Kate break his heart again, especially this time when his mom is so sick. This story has so much emotion, heart and love in it! I couldn't put it down! (

  • Great Series Conclusion!

Tina Radcliffe has written a story that appeals to many emotions, and she's created characters that are warm, genuine, and oh, so human. She reminds us that love is the ultimate prize, whether it be love for family or a romantic love that takes your breath away. 'My heroes have always been cowboys', but Radcliff proves that cowgirls can be heroes also! If you enjoy contemporary romance and a story filled with faith, do yourself a favor and grab a copy of this book. The Cowgirl's Sacrifice is the perfect way to wrap up the Hearts of Oklahoma series, and Tina Radcliffe demonstrates her writing talents once again!. I received a copy of this book from the author. I was never required to write a positive review, and I am voluntarily sharing my own thoughts.

  • Kate’s story is worth the wait

"Wooing takes a whole lot more energy than dating. It's about gaining someone's trust and confidence. Wooing is all about the long haul. It's like preparing the soil and planting, and being willing to wait for what's going to grow because you know it's going to be something special." Ah, Kate Rainbolt. I've waited a long time for her story and it was totally worth waiting for. She's spunky, feisty, and stubborn yet totally devoted to her family and compassionate. Her physical brokenness after a rodeo accident and her chronic emotional brokenness from her father's abandonment and perceived rejection are tangible, heart-breaking and real. Jess has his own past rejections to wade through and things to prove to himself and others. Their banter is delightful and the way they ease back into their friendship/relationship is a lot of fun. I loved going back to Rebel, Oklahoma to catch up with Kate's older brothers Mitch, Reece, and Tucker as well as meet some new but equally unforgettable characters in Jess' family. I'll miss Rebel Ranch and am so glad I was there to watch all four Rainbolt siblings find new dreams and contentment after all the tears and fears of their past. I received the book from the publisher/author and was under no obligation to post a positive comment. All opinions are solely my own.

  • THE COWGIRL’S SACRIFICE by Tina Radcliffe

THE COWGIRL’S SACRIFICE by Tina Radcliffe is the fourth book in the Hearts of Oklahoma series. It’s the wonderful heartwarming story of Kate Rainbolt. She’s grown up bucking heads with her brothers and others to prove that girls can do anything boys can and she’s as determined to be tough as nails and stubborn enough to prove it still. After riding the rodeo circuit, Kate returns home to Rebel, Oklahoma to recover from severe injuries sustained from being attacked by a bull while working as a rodeo clown. Being home around loved ones may be just the medicine she needs. She thought taking her brothers up on the foreman job offered a few months ago would give her body time to heal and time to figure out her life’s direction after having her whole world turned upside down. Life as she knew could be no more. However, on arrival the first person she sees is Jess McNally, the man whose marriage proposal she rejected 10 years earlier, and finds out he’s already been hired for the position. After Kate’s rejection all those years ago and the continuing riff with his father over change his college major and changing the direction of his life away from following in his father’s footsteps into medicine, Jess had packed up a moved to Montana. After the death of his father and without mending the riff, Jess moved back home to Rebel to be near and to care for his ailing mother. After Kate is offered the equine management job and will be reporting to him, can they put the past behind them and work together? Can Jess get over his guilt of not being there for his family while he was away? Kate may be able to hide the extent of her injuries from her brothers, but it’s not long before Jess figures out how bad they really are. Can Jess guard his once battered heart while keeping an eye on and protecting Kate? Will being around Jess bring back old feelings? Can she put aside the reasons for her leaving all those years ago? Can the scars of the past be healed without Kate finding her runaway father? Kate has always had a soft spot in her heart for Susan, Jess’s mother, but reconnecting on her return home leads her to finding out more about her mother, what dear friends they were and how Susan was, albeit unknown to Kate, an important part of the Rainbolt kids lives after the death of their mother. When Kate finds out how ill Susan is and in need of a kidney transplant and after many prayers and asking for direction, she feels the need to be tested to see if she might be a possible kidney match. It would be a way of helping a woman she’s always admired who was her mother’s best friend and helping her as she had helped them so much all those years ago. But after all the prayers and medical testing, will she be a match with Susan? Is this the real purpose for her returning home? Is Kate’s and Jess’ history in the past or started over after a ten year lull? Are they each willing to take that chance of being hurt again? Or is Kate’s destined to return to her rodeo life while searching for her father? Can she really be happy settling down to small town life? Tina Radcliffe does an exceptional job in her story telling of Kate’s life, her struggles with the past and present as well as her worry of what the future holds for her. It’s a fabulous story of family, life’s road blocks, compassion for our fellow man and love and romance all wrapped in faith – in each other, the future and in God’s unconditional love. THE COWGIRL’S SACRIFICE is a fabulous read for anyone that loves a thought provoking story that shows that most often life isn’t a straight line but often takes detours, going through construction and trials to get to the proper destination that we are destined for. It’s a book of never giving up, leaning on others can be a good thing and woven with a thread of faith reminding us to turn it over in prayer. Love this author’s book, love this series, and loved Kate’s story. It most definitely gets my FIVE STARS!
