Part of me is so excited to finally be at the conclusion of the series (because I now know how it ends) and the other part of me is sad that it’s over! Eadlyn was a much more likable character in this book than in The Heir. She definitely grew a lot since we first “met” her. She is a good leader and has learned to put her selfishness aside and put others first. I’m satisfied with the result of the ending. I don’t really like how it all played out, though. While I am happy with who she ended up with (I wanted him to win), I felt like she doesn’t actually make that choice. She was forced into choosing him in the end. So, that was a bit disappointing. But, it was still the boy I wanted her to end up with, so I can’t be upset about it. I just wish it would have happened in a different way. I really liked this book. I’m a big fan of this whole series and would highly recommend it! I did find that I loved America’s story in the first three books more than Eadlyn’s two books. I definitely preferred the trilogy, but I’m glad there was more at the same time. A favourite series for sure!

  • Living Happily Ever After

I enjoyed "The Crown" but found the author did not address how the queen came to the decision about the future of her country. Her selection of her partner was a pleasant surprise. Kiera Cass gives detailed descriptions of the background and through characterization, the main theme is developed: CHOOSE WHO YOU LOVE.

  • Oh My Gosh, I will love you forever

Okay. First off the back I didn't love it the first time through but each time afterwards it's been the book which keeps me going. I really and truly relate to Eadlyn. The quotes from this novel are fantastic.
