  • Amazing!

One word: WOW! A Crown of Gilded Bones was a crazy roller coaster from the first few chapters to the very end! This book was phenomenal! That I'm still speechless after finishing the book that I wish that there were more pages. Jennifer L. Armentrout did not disappoint me again because the plot has definitely thickened and I'm seriously more in love with Cas. The words that came from him throughout the book were so swoony and wishing I had a man like that! Throughout the entire book I enjoyed everything. Jen's world building was brilliant and its definitely important to reread the books because every piece of information is so important. Including the history of Atlantia and the Craven/Ascended & Nyktos. Poppy as character has grown so much as well. In FBAA, she was more timid and shy, but in ACOGB her confidence has grown so much. She is still asking questions and annoying Kieran. I had many moments through some of the book laughing during some scenes. Even though I still love Aiden from the Covenant series, I think Cas is slowly taking over. Sorry Aiden. Every word he says are just ugh!! I just love him. "No risk to too great, nor is anything too sacred. Because she is my everything. There is nothing greater than her, and I do mean nothing"-- Cas I was highlighting a lot of Casteel's quotes throughout the entire book especially after Chapter 37. Every detail is important with Jen's books so make sure to reread some scenes from previous books. More characters are introduced and some we see that are mentioned in previous books, as well as information on Ian. I'm already sensing a book hangover. Jen, I really need book 4 after that ending.

  • Wow!!

4.5☆ This series keeps leaving me speechless and my brain working a mile a minute to catch up with everything by the end of each book. So much happened in The Crown of Gilded Bones! There was a whole lotta action, emotion, laughter, as well as shock. A lot of new information was learned, some of it quite surprising, hence the shock, and of course I now have a bundle of new questions that I need answers to. This book sucks you in right from the start, especially with how book 2 ended, and keeps you on the edge of your seat just waiting for more answers. Again there really was no fluff to this book. It was all vital to the story and Poppy and Cas' relationship. I feel like I should have seen some of twists and turns coming, but I barely did. The story just consumed me and didn't leave me time to make predictions. In way I like that because it means the story isn't predictable and it keeps you on your toes. Anything can happen in this world, you never know! All I can really say is that I love so many of these characters, and yes that now includes Cas who has more than made up for his lies and mistakes, and want them to make it to the end alive and happy. I don't even know how long I'm gonna have to wait for book 4, but I know it's gonna be too long after all that happened! I absolutely cannot wait!!

  • Disappointing Filler Book

This is not a troll review but a real review from a reader who loved this series. I couldn’t wait for this book to be released. What I found was 15 chapters of action and 35 of filler that didn’t advance the plot or character development. By the end the characters were so one dimensional and honestly, a little stupid which made them very difficult to like. The last ditch effort at the end to show growth and redeem the book fell flat because I just didn’t care about them anymore. The pacing of the book was beyond awkward and I almost didn’t finish it. It seems this series could have nicely fit into less books. Not sure I will be able to stomach another one.

  • I love this book

It was so powerful🤯 I love how Kieran's character is being more developed and opened. I also like the dynamics of the established relationships between Poopy and Cas, how it's not getting boring. There are also lots of plot twists but they all make sense and I can't wait for the next book of this series

  • JLA strikes brilliance again

This book put my emotions through the ringer in the best way. This series has by far become one of my all time favourite series EVER and JLA’s writing never fails to make me want to scream at the universe. Somehow every book is better and better but all of them are wickedly entertaining. I cannot recommend the From Blood and Ash series enough!
