  • Well written but dreary & not in a good way

Very good writing in itself, intelligent and very descriptive .. but on and on..and more depressing all the time. No. Didn’t like it.

  • Disappointing

As a Josephine Tey fan for over 50 years, I was looking forward to this book. However, it was too 'wordy' for me,and had me skipping long sections of description and rumination looking for plot development. Tey, Allingham and Sayers all have a similiar style, but every word is important in their mysteries.

    Thanks for your feedback!
