    Thanks for your feedback!

    Book #5/Suncoast Society series.

The Denim Dom is book 5 in the Suncoast Society series by Tymber Dalton. As always, Ms. Dalton has written a story filled with real-life, everyday characters and their day-to-day lives. This story is full of the dreams, wishes, ambitions, and, of course, the romance each person has been looking for, and the frustrations, obstacles, fears, and complications that lie in their way. Shayla "Shay" Pierce is a 33-year-old reporter who's just uprooted her life in Ohio to move to Sarasota, Florida to escape a humiliating and extremely expensive life-altering disaster. She wants a new start, and she seems to have found it in a new job, new city, and new beginning. As she starts her job at Sunshine Attitude Magazine, she feels like she's made the right decision. The work is far different than that of a reporter at The Plain Dealer in Cleveland, but she soon finds she fits in with the team atmosphere. Shay feels like she's finally found her niche. Shortly thereafter, during a team meeting, the subject of doing an article on "kinky sex practices" comes up, with BDSM in particular as the topic of interest. Apparently it's not the first time the magazine has considered this subject. Shay has plenty of reasons to avoid the topic altogether. But when her boss asks her to take on the series of articles, she explains her reasons for not wanting to be involved but why she's so adamantly opposed to the topic altogether. But somehow they come to an agreement. She'll try. Tony Daniels is a long-time Dominant. He works running the computer data center at Asher Insurance, but he's also a long-time member of Venture, the local BDSM club in Sarasota. He's very involved in the club, not in just play but as a volunteer dungeon monitor and teaching classes, among other things. As Shay becomes acquainted with other members of Venture and interviews them for her series, she ends up meeting Tony at the Submission 101 class at Venture. Their immediate attraction surprises both of them. But, the road from the initial attraction to any sort of relationship is far from smooth sailing. The mere fact that Shay's a reporter causes problems. Then Shay's past comes back to haunt her. And Tony has issues of his own. With stumbling blocks and obstructions blocking every step they take, can any of this work in any way? Or will Shay give up, give in to the fears of her past? And will Tony be able to overcome his own doubts about the possibility of any relationship ever working? This is one of Tymber Dalton's best which is really saying something. I've read this book well over a dozen times, and it never gets old. The relationships, not just between Tony and Shay, but the rest of the characters in the book, are real. You could meet these people anywhere and immediately be drawn into their lives. I give it a 5-star recommendation without hesitation. This is an ADULT book. It contains BDSM themes, explicit language, and sexual scenes. If you don't enjoy this genre, PLEASE think hard before buying a book you won't enjoy. There are book synopses and reviews available on Goodreads and all booksellers' websites. PLEASE use these resources AND DON'T LEAVE A NEGATIVE REVIEW WHEN YOU KNOW YOU WON'T ENJOY THE BOOK. IT'S NOT FAIR TO THE AUTHOR! She works extremely hard to provide a quality work product. If you know you'll object to the subject matter before you buy a book, you're doing yourself and the author an extreme disservice. Thanks for reading my review and happy reading!
