  • The detective detects a witch

Well, Kristen did it again! This was another amazing addition to the series. It was so nice to get Marigold’s book. I just love her and her family. We get a great scene with Alice. I love how the author always includes a lot of the characters we’ve already read about. Wyatt was nice and hunky. There was also some really funny parts. This series is always so inspirational for me. I just feel so happy and upbeat when I read them. The last scene is my favorite. It was so clever to think of one of the lines the heroine uses.

  • The Detective Wins the Witch by Kristen Painter

The Detective Wins the Witch by Kristen Painter Welcome to Nocturne Falls where everyday is Halloween. 10th Book in the series. Can be read as a standalone paranormal romance but you’d miss a lot of fun from knowing all the characters. I would recommend reading at least the first few in the series for the best experience. Love this town. Love this author. This is one of the best romantic couples. He doesn’t want a relationship yet the next minute he’s falling head over heels in love. He grew up in foster care and doesn’t want that for anyone else. So adorable and so vulnerable. Then he makes all the right moves. Sigh. Excerpt: “He wanted to hold her hand again. Especially now that she was blushing. The pink in her cheeks was charming beyond description. She was like a drug he knew he should stay away from for his own good, but couldn’t. So be it. There were much worse things to be addicted to. Plus, he wanted more. Of her. But that would be leading her on, wouldn’t it? Because this was never going to go anywhere. He was never going to marry her. Which wasn’t anything against her. He was never going to marry anyone. Just like he was never going to have kids. The world had too many of those already and not enough families for them all.” Excerpt From The Detective Wins the Witch by Kristen Painter This material may be protected by copyright.

  • Brilliant

Once again Kristen Painter does not disappoint with the latest instalment in the Nocturne Falls series. Wonderful to have one of the long term side characters fleshed out and given time to shine. Well matched with her hero who bolsters her weaknesses with his strength and vice versa. If you haven’t read these books do yourself a favour and dive in.

  • Another Williams Witch gets her man!

The Detective Wins the Witch by Kristen Painter is book 10 in her Nocturne Falls Series. It’s been a while since I last visited Nocturne Falls, and catching up has shown me just how much I’ve missed it! Marigold Williams, a green witch, is a florist and single mother. Wyatt West, a former foster kid, is a detective. Oh, and he’s Human! Wyatt’s latest boring case involves lost family heirlooms and auctions. But it brings him practically next door to Nocturne Falls and her secrets. Mari does a favor for a sometimes resident wizard that leads her to an auction. Right next to Wyatt. Can Mari keep the Falls’ secret? Can Wyatt get over his commitment phobia? Another great Nocturne Falls story from the wonderful Kristen Painter.
