  • Cozy Mystery/Golf Club Intrigue!

This box set of cozy mysteries is tons of fun! There are two full-length novels and one novella included in this set, and all three books have the same cast of characters and setting – the Canterbury Golf Club and our heroine/sleuth, Beatrice Yates – the Lady Captain for the Club. Theft, embezzlement, and murder – oh my! Lady Captain Bee is highly invested in the success of the Canterbury Golf Club. A recent widow, the Club is where she feels closest to her late husband. New competition for members in the form of a new Club in a neighboring town is already causing worry, and on top of that Bee is stumbling across dead bodies and bad math hiding all kinds of nefarious schemes, it’s up to Bee and her cohorts to save her beloved Club – even if it means putting herself in harm’s way (and under the microscope) in the process. I’m a fan of Blair Babylon’s writing style and imagination no matter what the genre, although I do enjoy a good mystery. I’ve found her to be a first-rate storyteller across a multitude of series. Her books are well planned out, meticulously detailed, and superbly executed. Each character is so well projected, I can see d hear them in my mind as I’m reading. I found myself sleuthing along with Bee and Trudi throughout the books, trying to uncover the plots and save Canterbury before something else went wrong! I’d recommend this box set for mystery fans and Blair fans alike. I voluntarily received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. While theses fun cozy mysteries are different from what we normally see from Blair, I do enjoy a good mystery and these were no exception. In fact, I’ve read more than a dozen of Blair’s books across three genres now, and not once have I been disappointed!

  • Loving Tee Time!!

The stories are entertaining individually, but in this packet they were quite enthralling. The depth of the characters - Lady Captain Bea, her friends, cohorts and fellow Canterbury Golf Club members really have me wanting to try swinging at a few devil balls myself! A truly enjoyable read. Brew a nice cuppa tea or something stronger, find a comfy spot to settle into and tee off to the beautiful golf greens. Stories are very well done!

  • Clean, fun read.

This is a set of one short story and two books all happening at the Canterbury Golf Club. All are fun, enjoyable who done its. The Mystery of The Missing Crystal Golf Ball A seriously short, fun who-done-it. I knew how it was done, just wasn’t sure who until close to the end. Enjoyed this easy to read short. Go for it! Murder At The Counry Club A lot of golf related mystery and drama in this light hearted story. I know nothing about the game of golf, so much of the terminology was lost on me. I knew who the bad guy was from the beginning and enjoyed the game of pinning the crime on the correct individual(s). Enjoy this one. A Murder At The Devil’s Ball Another fun who done it, with our favorite retired school teacher and her mad professor side kick. Lots of sleuthing, golf terms and fun costumes in this one. It all works out in the end, with a fun time getting there. A good clean mystery with a twist of murder.
