    The Devil's Novice

Ellis Peters is one of those writers that transports the reader back to another time and place. I found this episode of Cadael to be very intriguing which left me wanting to start the next book. Ellis Peters never fails to leave you wanting more, not only for the mystery but for the well researched history.

    The devils novice

Good story but leaves you hanging like a preview of a book. Ends before any real action happens

    Excellent book!

Excellent book. The author has taken a fictional group of characters, led by Cadfael, and the fictional events concerning life in and around the abbey, and woven them into the real events of that time period. The result is an eminently readable and entertaining book. It will undoubtedly encourage readers to learn more about the history of early Medieval England. And certainly makes one want to read more of Brother Cadfael’s adventures.
