    Excellent

This is an excellent read! A great second chance story that's fun, sexy, and completely entertaining. Dom still remembers the night he was hauled away from Calla Stewart in handcuffs. His life may have changed from being the poor soccer playing kid from Glasgow, to international soccer star but being back in the same city as Calla has him looking for a little revenge. Calla has changed too. She's not the same spoiled socialite she was back then. Now she makes her own way and has nothing to do with her father but when she is saddled with the old family home and all the debt that goes with it, she finds herself in no position but to go along with Dom's deal. Ten days....completely at his command! You don't want to miss this one, I highly recommend it.

    Not my cup of tea

The Devil You Know began like a great story, it had so much potential and I liked it a lot. But then it dragged out and was slow in pace and the ending was not my cup of tea. But what is okay with the story is the characters and the setting. Liked that a lot. But the delivery of the story lacked and that's why the low amount of stars.

    Fun characters and second chances

The story and the characters will keep you hooked until the end. Dom and Calla met during Spring Break 10 years ago. Dom was definitely not what Calla's father had in mind for her, but the connection was instant. So Calla's father had him arrested and sent home to Scotland. The lesson stuck, and now Dom has made it to the top of the game, and has the fame and fortune to go with it. When his next career step lands him in Miami, he makes plans for revenge on the girl that apparently meant more to him than he did to her. No matter what she did, Calla couldn't get her father's attention, so she finally walked away from it all. When his fortunes turned, he took his money and moved out of the country, but not before saddling Calla with the family home that has a huge and delinquent mortgage and tax bill. Desperate to sell the albatross and finally break free, she drops everything to come back to Miami and meet with the buyer. Calla is shocked to find Dom, the boy who disappeared after that night and never tried to contact her. With reservations, she agrees to his demand of 10 days. As the days pass, Dom and Calla rediscover who they are and each other, but is it enough to put the past behind them? I really enjoyed the characters in this book, and not just Calla and Dom. Both have a best friend that brings out the best in them and make for fun interactions, giving the story depth. This was definitely a fun read. I hope we see these characters again when their friends get their own stories. *I received an ARC from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

    Dom and Calla sigh!

A sweet though frustrating story about a quest for revenge turning into love. I say frustrating because it's such a shame that people approach their objectives with pre-conceived notions. Dom jumps in headfirst in his quest for revenge to take his anger out on Calla. Anger that should have been directed at her father. And the worst part is he has no idea that Calla was an even bigger victim of father Prince Stewart. So of course, he loses her for a while. But Dom redeems himself by going back to his roots and remembering where he came from. He turns his quest for revenge around by doing something good for the community. Thank God for HEAs or I'd probably stop reading books altogether and curl up in a corner. ARC provided in exchange for an honest review.

    Second Chances

"The Devil You Know" by Mimi Wells is the story of Domnhall "Dom" Cameron and Calla Stewart. They had a spring break romance that didn't end well, which was ten years ago. The last time they saw each other the police had Dom in handcuffs and they were stuffing him in a police car. Dom has come a long way. He is now known as the, Devil of the Pitch, and is now an international football star with millions. Calla is down on her luck and if she doesn't sell her home, she is going to lose everything. Calla and Dom paths cross again. They both had a different memory of that night ten years ago. Dom makes Calla an offer that she can't refuse even if it means ten days at his command. This is a story about overcoming their issues from childhood and a second chance at love. Even though it has been ten years and they didn't part on good terms, there is still an intense attraction to each other. Will Dom and Calla be able to put the past behind them and take a chance on love? I really enjoyed this story. I loved the characters and the supporting characters too. Hopefully, there will be other books that continue with some of the supporting characters. FYI, contains mature content. I received a copy of this book from Tule Publishing for an honest review.
