The Dragon Guardian by Jessie Donovan

5 Stars  ☆☆☆☆☆ Title:  The Dragon Guardian Lochguard Highland Dragons #2 Author:  Jessie Donovan Reviewer: (Ingrid)    Stephanie Jordan #Paranormal   #Dragonshifters ●○•°●○•°●○•°●○•°●○•°●○•°●○•°●○•°●○•° So we have the other half of the McKenzie twins, Ms. Donovan really out did herself this time, could be the redish-orange hair she loves. You could tell by the time she put into this book the love she has for the twins.  With our characters from Stonefire  and Lochguard we could have had a big party it was great to see Arabella and then my Golden Dragon Finn and the soon to be triplets. Fergus MacKenzie a Black Dragon Shifter sat on the mountain and watch this pregnant lady for several weeks. One day he was watching her when she bent over and grabs her stomach , so he flew right away to go see if he can help her he rushes up to her in his human form naked. Gina MacDonald knew about Dragon Shifters, she should that why she's ran from the USA to Scotland, he just couldn't find her. All he wanted was her baby from the very beginning he lied and promised till she was pregnant. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

    Learning to trust again

Gina MacDonald is pregnant and was shipped off to Scotland for her and the baby’s sake. Being tricked by an American Dragon shifter because of a bet, she got pregnant and the American DDA wants her to turn her child over to the American Dragon Clan. Fergus Mackenzie has been watching the pregnant American, and can’t seem to stop himself. He keeps telling himself it’s for the safety of the clan. Seeing her bent over in distress one day he fly’s down to see if he can help her. We have trouble from several angles in this book and bringing Gina into the folds of the clan brings on some of that trouble. We have Fergus’s dragon telling him to keep her. Has Fergus finally found his true mate? Can Gina get past her experience with the American Dragons to trust Fergus and the Lochguard Clan? Full self-contained story with HEA that is well written and extremely entertaining to read.

    The Guardian Dragon

Once again Jessie Donovan has done it. She has captured my heart with her characters. She tempted us with a peek at Gina, a very pregnant human, alone near a lock (lake) Fergus visited when he needed to think and be alone. The feisty little human railed at him and he fought a chuckle at her bravery. A book or two later and she provided us Gina and Fergus' story. If you want to know why we die hard fans were so anxious for this story read the story of his twin and mate. Drawn to the area and watching over the lass, he sees her grab her middle and he is on it. Not so romantic maybe, but a touching beginning to a love story you will not forget. He and his dragon soon know she means more than she is willing to admit. And with her history with dragonmen who could blame her. Still, alone and having a dragon baby is not going to happen. If that was the only problem, it would come with other associated issues, but the father and his clan present even more danger. Will Fergus' clan help her with the baby and the enemy clan? There will be steam, family mischief, loyalty, clan safety, and so much more. Emotions, reader and story characters, will run the race of high to low and everything in between. Tears, joy, laughter, possessiveness, fear, and on and on. Don't wait for this one. Pre order, or make sure you order day one. The sooner it is in your hands, or reader, the sooner you can experience the great, fun, touching read. I was provided an ARC for an honest review.

    Yay for Gingers!

Yay for Gingers! I like that both main characters in this book were redheads. They just don't get enough hype these days!! I really liked the heroine Gina's personality, how even though she was screwed over by one dragon-shifter she didn't blame all of them for the assholeness of him. She was strong in her opinions and what she wanted which was easy to relate to. While the hero Fergus wasn't ridiculously funny like his twin Frazer in the last book, I liked his logical thinking and his protectiveness. I would have liked to see more development in Gina and Fergus' relationship. Guess I'm a skeptic when it comes to falling in love with someone after only knowing them for two weeks. I also feel that the confrontation between clan Lochguard and Broadbay could have been a little more involved. I would have liked to see that Travis dragonman get his comeuppance given how much of an ass he sounded like! I will say that it was exciting to see the interaction between Sid and Dr. Innes as well as Faye and Grant! I can't wait for their books to come out!! :D

    I love this series

Jessie Donovan has done it again. She has written a book that intrigues you right from the start and has your imagination soaring. I loved the way she was able to keep me interested and not want to put the book down. It made for a very sleepless night. I am waiting impatiently for the next in the series.
