  • A rich and vibrant world

I really think I shall always refer to this book as the Swan Queen, because for me, it was all about Sophia coming into her own. The wonderful side-effect of her grabbing control of her life, is that it gives Aaron his wish as the Dragon King Sophia has been sheltered and locked away her entire life. This isn't an exaggeration, she actually knows very little of the world. What she does know and remember is that she can always go to Aaron. She does this, and it is from there her strength grows. She learns even those she thought she knew, kept things from her. She becomes a person she never thought she could be, but she recognizes the person she wants to become. She does all this with the support and guidance of Aaron. The one time they had a rift, my heart hurt for her. By the end of the book, who Sophia was at the beginning is nearly unrecognizable, except for her kind heart Aaron has been around forever, and that is really the truth. There are only three of his kind left, al males. He has never forgot what his grandmother told him, and he wants to make sure he is pursuing Sophia for who she is, not what she is. He does everything right for her, except for that one time. When he explains to Sophia what happened to make him the way he is, the scene, the setting, his voice, he told such a powerful tale, it hit me hard. These two are definitely perfect together, and the world that is set-up is so rich and vibrant, and the characters, all of them so interesting. If you like your paranormal with some sexy times, and a few deeply kinky characters on the side, you will love this book!

  • Another hit in the Supernatural series!

This is the second book I’ve read by Candace Blevins in this new genre, I think she’s found a niche because I am in love with these characters. We met Aaron Drake in Only Human and it certainly had me wondering who it would take to win his love. He is of course, a supernatural, a dragon and the King of his kind. Sophia is someone he has known since she was little, she is a swan and a Princess without any brothers to continue ruling after her father. We learn that Aaron has had a hand in keeping her mind very active until she is of age. Sophia, very courageously decides to escape the future her father has planned for her, especially the arranged marriage, she runs to Aaron for protection. And help her he does, because she is meant for him, she goes from being very naïve, to a Princess worth ruling her kingdom. This is where the story just blows me away, all that we learn along about the politics within each supernatural race. Actions have consequences depending on where you are and what you wish for. I never felt confused as to what world we were in, because Candace is a master at details. The two are very strong characters and their love is just as strong. Being that they are both shifters, we readers are treated to some very hot sex scenes. I highly recommend reading this amazing story and I can say I cannot wait for else Candace has up her sleeve! * I received a copy from the author in exchange for an honest review

  • A love that grows and survives over time to win

A paranormal tale that strikes at the heart of the fairy tale. But then adds so much more. I love how it all ends, but that means you have to read it as I'm not going to tell you! Believe me, when I say, that it's worth it to buy it and read it as you'll love it too. Candace Blevins knows how to write well.
