    The Dragon Warrior

Finally! Grant & Faye’s story. I’ve quite enjoyed these two throughout the series and I loved finally seeing them come together. The twists and turns in their relationships kept me on my toes while the rest of the story was even more compelling. This was a fantastic tale that had me wrapped up in it from cover to cover. This novel is a bit slower in pace than most of Donovan’s dragon stories but it is also much more personal of a story. That said, Donovan brings action to life, both in the bedroom and out of it. This novel sizzles with the chemistry between the main characters while also drawing readers deep into the fast paced danger that the characters find themselves in. What really sets this novel apart is the fantastic world building and character development that this author puts forward. Everything comes to life in such a vivid manner that you feel as if you’re really there. Donovan’s very well developed world and characters does build on the development from previous novels so I would suggest reading them in order. Yet again Donovan has created a one of a kind tale that readers will love from cover to cover. I’d highly recommend it to others.

Now this is a story, talk about a strong woman. Loved it. This was really well done, good plot and side plot that fit well. Characters that were so really that I can see having coffee with a few. Look for the next book as you read this. Must read Jen

    Delaying the inevitable

Grant McFarland is the current Head Protector to the Lochguard Clan, the job that use to belong to Faye MacKenzie before she got injured. But with time and care, Grant helped Faye to get back out there. Flying and strengthen herself. That is until one day he seemed to stop and start to avoid her. Faye is tired of not having a job or purpose and confronts Grant. Up until last year, Grant never would have hesitated to give Faye an assignment that could put her in danger. But that all changed the day she was cleaning one of his wounds and he thought about kissing her. With half his family being traitors he wants to keep his distance from her, to protect her. The two of them are put together on an assignment in conjunction with the DDA in an outreach program to showcase Dragon shifter art. With the thought that Art can transcend cultures. Both Grant and Faye have come to the conclusion that there is something between the two but they can’t act on it in case it causes a frenzy. And being in the public on assignment is not the time or place. Danger is always lurking right around the corner. Well written self-contained story that’s also part of a series of books. High praises for this action packed book with lots of adventure and romance.

    The Dragon Warrior

Faye had fought to earn her place as Lead Warrior of the clan only to be injured and replaced by the one dragonman she could hardly abide. The man who had told her she'd wasn't feminine enough to attract a male like himself. Little did she know that Grant said it to protect himself from his feelings for her. Now that they are older and ready for more there is a battle royal between their dragons and their own feelings. It might be simpler if the danger to the clans wasn't so desperate. Faye is almost healed but not yet 100%. How will she deal with Grant as her superior? Grant, with the sage (translation horny) advice from his dragon, wants to make up for the hurt he caused Faye. He wants more from her. Even if she were ever able to forgive, she and her own dragon know that taking orders from him would be a constant battle between them. The wonderful story is packed with danger, love, family and clan loyalty, and the proof of life going on in the most delightful and precious ways. We get to sit in on another meal at the McKenzie house and all that entails. It seems they all revert to their teasing, boisterous ways when they reach the table—even more than the jibes and barbs they toss back and forth whenever the siblings are near each other. For this meal, there are some newcomers to the antics. Watch the test and see if they pass. The author always provides a satisfying epilog to end. There is double the satisfaction this time with two epilogs. This is my honest review of this advance reader copy and I have not been compensated in any way.
