    Perfect balance

I had great difficulty putting this book down. It's the perfect balance of mystery, romance, and that bond between animals and human. Loved it!

Really enjoyed this . Excellent mysteries. Most important to me, this author really can write “ horse “ !!!! Every detail is spot on. There seem to be only a few authors that write from knowledge eg Doranna Durgin, Hope to read more Dream Horse Mysteries !!!!

    Loved it!!!

Vi Parker is a difficult woman to love, but she’s easy to admire and to wish all good things for. Carrabus does a wonderful job of letting this prickly, defensive, scared-but-courageous heroine grow through the prequel and trilogy. The cast of supporting characters is wide and deep, each with their own voice and their own ways of touching Vi’s emotions. The mysteries are intriguing, but for this life-long horse-lover, it’s the relationships between Vi and the horses, especially the actual Dream Horse, that resonate. While I’ve never been attracted to the show ring or to jumping, I *felt* how Vi communicated emotionally—almost psychically—with the horses she rode and handled, which Carrabus conveys brilliantly. Definitely recommend this box set, especially to other horse lovers. Heartfelt thanks, Candace, for the gift of these stories!
