    A Book To Desire!

Ivy has no faith in men and relationships. West the "Duke of Desire" is not so keen on trust, marriage and relationships, either. When they meet, something intangible pulses between them. And, so begins a journey of learning about themselves and each other; a journey that neither could have predicted they would take; a journey their scarred hearts probably would have avoided at all costs. But, once on this journey, neither seems able to not see it through to the end. Past hurts have to be confronted and dealt with. Hearts have to be healed and repaired. Trust has to be found. Forgiveness has to be realized. But, will working through their personal issues bring them closer together or push them apart for good? This is the second book in the Untouchables series, that I have read, and the stories just keep getting better. I very much would like to go back and read the first two and get caught up with the series. This book CAN be read as a standalone, but it probably is even better if you have read the three previous books in the series as some characters from them make a reappearance. *I received a complimentary ARC of this book in order to read and provide a voluntary, unbiased and honest review, should I choose to do so.

    I really loved this book!!!

I really loved this book!!! I'll admit that I'm not that educated on the time period, and I felt West's "occupation" was a bit odd, but I appreciated that it was sort of a "measuring stick" to show how he changed when he met Ivy. I felt lots of emotions for Ivy, and I liked her independence. Her insistence on keeping things proper made the tension between she and West absolutely delicious, and when they were alone together, even in passing, sparks. Lotsa sparks. I especially loved the Blind Man's Bluff scene :) This was the first Darcy book I've read, and it absolutely won't be the last. She did an excellent job of keeping me turning the pages, BEYOND eager to see how everything would get resolved. I really loved this story!!! (I received a copy of this book in consideration of an honest review)

    A Fiery Rebirth

Companion Ivy Breckenridge is a woman with a mysterious past, even to her closest friends. As the final member of the League of Invincibles to be unmarried, her friends want her to find the same happiness they has all found. Ivy still finds comfort and safety in her unmarried state and finds marriage deplorable. The Duke of Desire, Sebastian Westgate, is a notorious rake with a penchant for affairs with married women. He enjoys the ladies and helps them with their marriages. Both Westgate and Ivy can agree that marriage is not for them, but neither can deny their mutual attraction to each other. In the fourth Untouchables book, we finally learn about Ivy's past. She has remade herself from a terrible, tragic, past. I could not put this one down. IT is by far the best book in the series. I'm curious, though, to see if the League of Invincibles will add to their numbers. Guess I will have to wait for The Duke of Defiance to find out. I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for my review, and I was not required to write a positive review. The opinion expressed here is my own.

The Duke of Dear God Do You Have a Brother?!

There are no words for how much I adore this book. As an avid fan of Burke's, and of this series, I have been waiting for Ivy's story. And what a doozy it is. Ivy and West's romance is everything a romance should be. There was banter and seriousness, playfulness and passion, drama and gorgeous moments of soul-bearing interaction. This is a keeper, a re-reader, and a tell all your friends about it kind of book. I still get goosebumps thinking about this one.

    Loved this story

'The Duke of Desire' by Darcy Burke is book Four in the "The Untouchables" series. This is the story of Ivy Breckenridge and Sebastian Westgate, Duke of Clare. I have read the other books in this series but feel this is easily a standalone book. Ivy has settled into be a companion while her close friends have married and started a family. Ivy has issue with men and at first it would seem hard to get past. West has a reputation of 'helping' married women by sleeping with them. So at first he doesn't come off as a hero you would want but that doesn't take long to change. I ended up seeing how well these two were made for each other. It was great seeing how much Ivy started to change with West and how her outlook became more hopeful. West to needed someone like Ivy who brought out another side to him. I have fallen in love with this series and Ms. Burke writing so this was a joy to read! "My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read."
