    SINCE WHEN?

Since when do female characters in historical romance not want the romance and frivolity of the Ton? Well this book totally brings that to the table, the main character Katherine wants nothing to do with romance, children or husbands. She's in charge of her own life and wants nothing to upset her delicate balance. I hated that this beautiful character was changed so much by a man who makes her feel like she needs to be different to be what he expects. I did love the ending of this book, it was quite adorable.

    Marvelous

The Duke's Accidental Wife Dukes of War Book 7 by Erica Ridley ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ FOR THE LOVE OF Historical romance. I love reading Erica's books and I have never been disappointed when I have read any of her books. OMG! I love this series it is one of the best in my opinion! Erica Ridley is one of my favorite authors, her series always include the characters from the other books in the series that's what I love that about her books, she does set the bar high with her books. The Duke's Accidental Wife" definitely is book 7 in the Dukes of War series, but I'm praying it's not the last book in this Spectacular series. Erica Ridley brings us back to where this series starts.circle. This series started with the Duke's sister, Lady Amelia Pembroke and now Erica is telling the Duke's story. Miss Katherine Ross is a independent lady. She enjoys flaunting society's rules and she dislikes the stricture it puts young ladies. But her lifestyle is outrageous and she loves having fun and mixing with the lower class but she doesn't consider them as the Ton does. Katherine actually hides the fact that she spends more time with Aunt than most of the Ton suspects. But the one thing she would agree with is she is not looking for a husband, because he would try to control her and demand she have a heir. There is two things Katherine is very afraid of her aunt and her child dying. Lawrence Pembroke is the Duke of Ravenwood , he takes his duty as the Duke very serious. Because his uncle who raised him and Amelia acted as if he was the Duke and took away all of the Duke's parents things and sold them. Once reaching his majority he put his uncle and tried to reproduce his parents home. Then the war started and all his friends enlisted, but the Duke felt he had a responsibility to his title and the crown not to go but he long to accompany his friends. The Duke has lots of personality problems due to his parents dying while he was young. The Ton thinks the Duke is a cold man but he has always been there for his sister and friends. The Duke of Ravenwood has a secret he is a poet and romantic with a dream to marry for love. This series has everything you would want read, lots of romance. This book can be read as a stand alone, but I am really enjoying this as a series. I was hooked on this book and the series from the first page and each time I read it I can't put it down until I finish the entire book in one sitting. This is a enjoyable read and will be a great choice for your TBR list. I'm so excited about reading the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book. If you believe in the world of romance, then the possibilities are endless and fascinating!

    Love it!

Erica Ridley's book, The Duke's Accidental Wife is an amazing historical romance. Ms Ridley has given us a well written book. Her characters in The Duke's Accidental Wife are fabulous. Kate and Ravenwood's story is loaded with drama, humor and spice. I loved The Duke's Accidental Wife and look forward to reading more from Erica Ridley in the future. The Duke's Accidental Wife is book 7 in the Dukes of War Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

    Historical Romance

Preconceptions can be misconceptions – and that is just what Katherine Ross “Kate” and Lawrence Pembroke, the Duke of Ravenwood found to be true before the end of the book. Kate was footloose and fancy free living with her great Aunt Havens when at one of her social events she and Ravenwood were caught in an apparently compromising situation. They both had ideas of what their future would be and that future did not include what they were suddenly faced with. As the two of them get to know one another better they find that what they believed true of one another is not quite accurate and worth reconsidering. I loved the way Kate began to see beyond the exterior Ravenwood presented to the world. I enjoyed Ravenwood’s slow opening up and sharing as time went on. This is a story of family, caring, sharing and giving and I thoroughly enjoyed it. 4.5 Stars
