    Utterly charming

Witty dialogues (just love dialogue!) in a fast-paced plot with absolutely adorable characters. Couldn't put it down.

    Book 2

This was a good story about an outcast and a new earl. She needs rescuing and he needs to rescue, it all works out. The plot line, memorable characters and romance in the story are all well written. These are shorter, sweeter reads with some steamy parts. Looking forward to reading more though

    5 BIG GOLD STARS

Lovely story, well written and easy to read with a beautiful ending. I loved the compassion and determination that was woven into every turn of the pages. This made both of the main characters very lovable. The grandparents, grandmother in particular was a horrid person and Erica Ridley has such a knack with words that I found granny extremely hateable and loathsome. Cupid was very active in this story and even though the hero and heroine didn't want to fall in love, they couldn't dodge his arrows. I loved this story and recommend that you read it.

    Whirlwind Ride!

Two strangers, one man, one woman each with one goal in mind; to marry for money! Oliver York returned from his military service, a changed man. And, a war hero. His life changes even more. His estranged father died, leaving Oliver as the new Earl of Carlisle! A penniless new Earl. "Congratulations!" He needs money to save his tenants, his home and estate holdings and pay his servants. He can't let down the people counting on him. His only recourse is to marry a rich woman. Grace Halton is American. She's arrived in England in search of her maternal grandparents. She's in dire need of their financial support for her desperately ill, widowed mother. Her grandparents don't believe Grace's mother, Clara, is ill! They believe Grace was sent to fleece money, from them and return to America so she and her mother can live the good life. So, Grace has no choice, she must quickly marry a rich, manageable man! As we all know, things don't always turn out the way we planned! Events turn every which way but loose, as Ms. Ridley leads us on a whirlwind ride with Oliver, Grace and company! The main characters are warm, emotional, open and honest. There are ups, downs, and a curve or two along the way! It's a fun-filled ride. Enjoy it! The good ones always end too soon!! I received this book free for an honest review.
