    A Paragon-of-its-Genre Treasure!

4.5 Stars | Hot Steam After adoring FALLING INTO BED WITH A DUKE, the lustrous first novel in Lorraine Heath’s The Hellions of Havisham series, I didn’t think I could last the six month stretch until the second novel, THE EARL TAKES ALL, was released. *Spoiler Alert * I survived—barely. And was elated to discover, as I'd hoped, that every potent and stirring word of Julia and Edward’s story was well worth the wait! Intimate, affecting, intense, angsty, searing-hot, and positively spellbinding, I devoured their book from cover to cover in one momentous sitting. I’m still misty-eyed and happily thrumming, recalling the unpredictable twists, turns, glorious peaks, and agonizing valleys that comprised this masterpiece of a romance. The stakes, the emotion, and the passion in their novel are stratospheric! From one scene to the next, as Julia and Edward struggle to emerge from tragedy and, then, slowly and poetically, grow together as a wonderfully dynamic, affectionate, open, loving, and cherishable couple, not a feeling was spared from my poor heart. My torrid ticker was on sensory overload—clutched with waves of teary sadness, palpitating anxiety, infinite joy, simmering arousal, divine hope, wrenching despair, and, then, that final tremendous squeeze of euphoria when Julia and Edward's true, pure, and perfect love conquered all. Utter ecstasy! Sure to delight Heath's devoted fans and new readers alike, THE EARL TAKES ALL is a run-don’t-walk-to-your-nearest-bookstore, must-read, must-re-read, keeper-shelf, paragon-of-its-genre, treasure. Bottom Line: Read this book! Complimentary copy provided in exchange for an honest review.

    It's complicated...

Edward, Julia and Albert shared a complicated history. With secret trysts, hidden betrayals and jealousy playing a major part. Lorraine Heath's capacity to write a story that has a wide range of depth that consists of events that are unbelievable but haunting was what any reader of a story particularly romance wants. Edward is a character that has had a history of disappointment and heartbreak from an early age. The one constant in his life has been his twin brother Albert. Julia is an interesting character because she serves as a mixture of protagonist and antagonist. She is the catalyst to the brothers unraveling relationship but an advocate for trying to heal it. Although the story did not turn out the way I hoped it was still an unforgettable read. I received an ARC of The Earl Takes It All in exchange for an honest review. Copyright of Night Owl Reviews
