    Could not put it down.

What a wonderful peek into the past with a unique view of how the 1920's excavations and seeking the glory of the next big find in Egypt, along with how the ancient curses could have been manipulated to ones own advantage. Lady Agnes Mulvern has asked Lade Olivia Belgrave to look into her uncles supposed suicide as she cannot believe that he would end his own life. And the police will not look any further. We are led through a trail of leads, in which any one of several people who were at a dinner the night before Lawrence Mulvern died. All who had a reason to want him dead, and all who probably had a chance to slip out and doctor a glass of water with an excessive dose of a sleeping drought.

    Great Series

Another great installment in a fun series. I have really enjoyed the High Society Ladies Series. The Egyptian Antiquities Murder The Egyptian Antiquities Murder is the 3rd book in the series. Each book Is written as a stand alone so you can jump in anytime. Be warned I suspect you’ll will enjoy the series as much as I do and you’ll want to read them all. I was Blessed to read book 1 and book 2. And, I have to say that they just keep getting better. I think it is because the characters are all interesting and just lure you into the story. The main character Olive is an heiress that lost her fortune. And so, she begins looking for work. In book 1 she stumbles into a murder and almost by accident solves the crime. In book 2 after her success in sleuthing she Is hired to solve the disappearance of an author who ends up being murdered. And in The Egyptian Antiquities Murder Olive is hired to find the truth behind a supposed suicide. Olive is invited to 'stay' with the family as they are preparing for a big party which is the norm for society people in this time period. It is easy for Olive as a "guest' to search for are clues. Olive wastes no time in chatting with the family, the 'help' and business associates that come and go. As the suspects begin to line up Helping Olive from time to time is her friend (? I keep wondering If there is a romance brewing with the two) Jasper who refers himself her Watson. I can’t quite get a handle on Jasper as he kind of flutters in to help Olivia out with sleuthing or with a new job. In the back of my mind I am hoping there is a budding romance. I have enjoyed each of the books in this series. I can't wait for the next one. I received a complimentary copy.
