Finally, a diet I can live with

I like how simple the diet is, and how much research has been done to support it. The best part is that unlike other diet plans, on this diet, you won't reset your metabolism to a lower level. Hopefully that will help me keep the weight off.

    The Every Other Day Diet

As an 'experienced dieter' I have decades of unsuccessful or temporarily successful diets behind me. This book actually offers what I believe is a lifelong plan that is doable as well as sustainable over the long term. The research is solid, the method is simple and it isn't necessary to forgo the joy of eating at social events. Bon appetite!

    Science based fasting diet

This book is based on peer reviewed science journal articles and their research. It's 500 calorie one day then unlimited the next. With a recipe section that looked quite simple and doable for both 100 calorie snacks and 400 calorie meals. Well written, it also focuses on maintenance, exercise and mindful eating. For convenience there is a list of brands of convenience meals like frozen dinners but most appear to be American. Recipes sometimes called for American ingredients but not the majority.
