Delve into a fantastic world of fae

If I would have imagined this world could have been so seductive I would have planned my reading time better. I had a difficult time putting my reader down. Fantastical tale with some very steamy bits.

    Random purchase that hit gold!

As titled, I decided to buy this book only because the review was good. And I definitely am not disappointed!! Have to say tho, the last book was abit draggy but after finishing it, I understand why it had to be so. Too much going on!!! Loved every reading minute and I’m definitely going to buy the next book like right about now!

Reviewing for books 1-5 only! SO GOOD!!!

The Fever Series (1-5 only) by Karen Marie Moning (Audio Edition) Narrated by: Joyce Bean, Natalie Ross and Phil Gigante I had planned on writing a review after I finished each book, but let's face it.. I got sucked into the vortex that is the Fever series and didn't surface till I was done! I listened to books 1-5 back to back and loved every word of it. I have read the series once before and found it amazing. I remember reading so fast I was sure I probably missed bits but couldn’t stop myself! I was unsure (to the point of almost feeling nervous that I would ruin it’s memory) if I could reread this series and enjoy it as much as I did the first time. The second time around, I realized there was a lot of details I didn't remember. .. huh, wonder why? Whether due to the fact I was listening this time instead of reading, which made reading too fast, impossible.. or perhaps it was just that it's been a few years since I read it. Either way, I wasn't disappointed. It stood up to what I remember as being a fantastic series. I am not a fan of cliffhangers, and I was happy I had access to all the books when I had started this series the first time and this time as well in audio. (I would recommend this.. having to wait for the next book from the library or worse - to be published..would have totally killed me!) MacKayla Lane was a good character. I loved her spunk, sarcasm and creativeness. I love how she irritates Barrons, often going out of her way to do so. Jericho Barrons was awesome. To this day, he stands as one of my all time favourite leading men. I love his sarcasm, snarky attitude, and his promise to MacKayla. I LOVED their wordless conversations, their bickering and the feeling you get when reading their scenes. These two have fantastic chemistry together and I could hardly wait each time, till they were on the same page together again. Dani O’Malley is a favourite of mine as well. She was full of spirit, funny and I really can't wait to read her story! Moning weaves such a good tale. Creates a world that I find hard to leave behind. - Major book hangover here!- At times I found that MacKayla would analyze things a bit too much.. and it would seem a wee bit tedious (especially in the last book) but I think it's more because the the 5 books are all one storyline so the last book has to “wrap up” more instead of continuing the crazy action roller coaster.. Funny enough...I remember thinking the very first time that I was hesitant to read this series… that all paranormal stories had to have vampires (I am not a fan of vampires as the hero/heroine) I am very glad I took the chance and read it as my worries were just silly! This series has one vampire..a sub character who has a very brief part in the story. The paranormal aspect of this is mostly about the Fae. So if you haven't read this series and you like action, romance, humour and suspense this is a great series for you to read! As this is the audio edition I am reviewing, here’s my thoughts on the Narrators. The first 3 books were performed by Joyce Bean. She did a fantastic job. Her Dani was perfect! Just how I imagined her to be. The last two books were read by Natalie Ross and Phil Gigante - they both did a wonderful job. I liked having both a man and woman read for their respective roles. My only negative was with the Dream fever audible file recording. Natalie's voice sounded as though there was to much bass. When listening in headphones it sounded muffled due to that. All 3 performers got into their roles well, acting out scenes with emotion and passion. It made the for a wonderful listening experience! Dani’s series is next “Iced”. I have waited along time to read these.. as I didn't want to read it with cliffhangers. I waited till they were all out. At least I hope they are all out now. It was said to be a trilogy... and the third book is released today. So unless Moning decided to extend the series, I will be fine! ... Perhaps I shall go check before I start! ... Nope.. Not all out .. Guess my wait continues!

Everything I expected it to be and then some. Couldn't put it down. Convenient having the entire collection in one place.
