    Sweet and sexy college romance!

This delightful romance is about a college couple who turn each other's worlds upside down when Jenny's quest to save a historic art building on campus brings her to Matthew, a budding artist who has no interest in her public campaign- at least at first. Jenny's very blunt and up front about what she's hoping to achieve, and in return Matthew is quite clear that he's not going to let anything get in the way of his future plans, and they don't include doing any favors for this extroverted journalist who seems to keep showing up when he least expects it. But gradually, as they get to know one another, Matthew realizes that keeping himself closed off and not caring about anything is backfiring, as he comes to care a lot more for Jenny than he ever expected. In opening up to her, and vice versa, he is able to take his art to the next level, putting emotion on the canvas. I loved how they were together, Matthew's gruff demeanor really just his own method of self preservation and Jenny's bright and friendly attitude making him realize what he's been missing in his life. They share a sexy scene together, and while their route to a happy for now ending has some unexpected twists and turns, it made the story a real page turner. Very enjoyable!

    Sweet short read

(I received a copy from Barclay Publicity Blog Tours via Netgalley in exchange for my honest review) The Fixer by Jenny Holiday is the first book from New Wave Newsroom and it's also the first book I've read by Jenny Holiday. I really really enjoyed this sweet short read and really love the characters too. The Fixer is set in the 1980's and Jenny Fields is a Senior in College. She's a Fixer by nature - she's always trying to fix anything and everything around her, including the Art Building on campus that is being torn down soon. Matthew Townsend is an art prodigy at the same College as Jenny. He's an arrogant loner who doesn't have a care in the world except his senior portfolio. Jenny sought his help to save the Art Building but he doesn't care about it at all. Jenny was very persistent and they developed a kind of relationship in that way. I really loved reading about Jenny and Matthew - they are such a sweet sweet couple. Overall, I really enjoyed The Fixer by Jenny Holiday and I would not hesitate to pick up more of her books in the future.
