    An Amazing Beautifully Enchanting Tale

I am utterly speachless at this breathtakingly beautiful and an enchantingly magical tale that speaks to your heart and your soul. An emotional journey that you will remember for a lifetime, a tale that in my mind teaches you to see what you have in your life and to value every second of it. I am struggling to express what this book has done to me, feeling very emotional about it. This has captured so many emotions in me, it has made me smile and made me feel sad to the point that i may have cried a little. The storyline to this story...wow.. i am kicking myself for not reading this book sooner. And the way that the author writes this book... The beauty and the intricate detail that this book is written in sucks you through a portal into this alternate world and you really dont want to leave, i have hardly slept since starting this book as i have genuinely struggled to put this book down, i kept thinking...just a little bit more and i will go to bed. This story has everything that made me fall in love with books from a young age. Mystery, secrets, love, lies and truths uncovered and a view into a seductively magical world. I loved the storyline with twists and turns around every bend, making you guess what could come next and always being surprised by what did. There are so many characters in this that i could mention but i kind of fell in love with all of them, each character is completely different to the next, even twins. You become immersed in the feeling of family and love within these characters. I loved the variation of the different kinds of beings in this book. Many would think that my favourite character would be one of the main parts but i felt myself really loving the character of Finn, there is something so caring and protective about him but not in a romantic way, in the way of that caring older brother or father that will never let anything happen to you as long as he is there. I loved these characters written with so much character to them and written with so much love by the author. I cant imagine how this book could be topped by the next one but i am dying to find out. I cant wait to get my hands on the second book! This author is so unbelievably talented, i am a definate fan for life and i seriously think if you love to read then this is a book that you will love that if you are anything like me it will conjour up the fairy tales that were read as a child when your imagination made you part of the tale. I wish i could voice what this book has made me feel better. This is a must read for all and everyone and is definately deserving of more than 5 stars!!!!

    Magic, Elves, and Nymphs

~~I received this in exchange for my honest opinion~~ I have recently began reading more about elves, nymphs etc. I am so glad that I read this book. This has a little of everything in the book. You get completely swept away with this book. Annika is transported to a different place. Not able to leave when she wants to she has to help figure out why. Along the way, she finds out who she really is. Emigh is a magical writer. She is able to capture the magic that is in this book. She takes you on a great journey. She makes sure you see the silver trees, and the two moons that are in the sky. She also makes sure that you are feeling everything that is going on. Never in my wildest imagination would I have ever thought about a place like this. I can't wait until I read the next book in the series.

    A must read!

I'm usually not a fan of fantasy novels, but I'm very glad I picked this book up! The author does an amazing job of bringing a new world to life. Her words paint such a pretty scenery it's easy to picture in your head. The personalities of each character in the story is well thought out and developed. They may be elves and fairies, but they still have basic human qualities that make them easy to relate to. Overall, it's fantastic and I can't wait to read the sequel!

    Loved this book!!

I can’t say this enough….I love fantasy of all types. So when I was approached with the opportunity to review The Flame and The Arrow (and after reading the synopsis), I literally jumped at this chance. I wasn’t let down. This book takes you through a journey through a parallel universe where you meet ogres, fairies, elves, vampires, wood nymphs and druids. Annika herself finds out some very interesting information about herself during this journey. I loved the mostly love story between herself and Talvi. At some points very sexual (stress very, there is a BDSM scene in there that rivals a certain Grey book) and at some points sweet, I thought it was interesting to see their relationship evolve to where it did. The other storylines (Yuri/Konstantine, Finn/Hilda are a couple) were very fun to read also and added to the plot, instead of taking away. Plus there’s the matter of Talvi’s secrets. The author didn’t reveal them all at once, instead she dragged them all out over the course of the book….which made it very, very, very interesting to read. The ending was very bittersweet and it was written exactly how I imagined it to be. I won’t say that I wasn’t surprised by it, though….lol. Will I read this book again? Yes!!! Will I reccomend this book to family and friends? Yes but with a warning of the intense sex scenes. Age range: Adult. Again, because of the intense sex scenes. Disclaimer: I received The Flame and the Arrow from Emigh Cannaday for free for my honest review. All opinions stated in my review are mine and mine alone.
